Free-agent DE Dondrea Tillman (UFL) is scheduled to work out for the Denver Broncos Wednesday, June 19.

Updating a previous report, free-agent LB Andre X. Smith (Falcons) signed a one-year contract worth $1.125 million with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday, June 18.
Link to storyBroncos | Bo Nix In A Three-Way Battle For Starting Job Tue Jun 18, 04:35 PM
Bo Nix is in a three-way battle for the starting job with Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson.
Footballguys view: Coach Sean Payton split the work evenly among the trio throughout the offseason program, which ended Wednesday with the second minicamp practice. While reports indicate Stidham has the early lead, ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold contends Nix has shown he has developed at least some comfort level with the playbook and has displayed accuracy, particularly in the short and intermediate routes. Our initial projections have Nix starting 15 games this season. Nothing we've seen or heard to this point changes that. |
Broncos | Jarrett Stidham may have early lead Sat Jun 15, 12:22 PM
Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham appears to be the leading candidate for the starting quarterback job at this point, in the opinion of BroncosWire's Jon Heath.
Footballguys view: Bo Nix was drafted to be the team's quarterback of the future, but it might be best for him to sit at first so that he's better prepared for NFL defenses and fluent in Sean Payton's offense before taking the field. Whether it's Nix or Stidham starting at Seattle in Week 1, expect the Seahawks to be heavy favorites. The Broncos offense might not produce one consistent fantasy option because of the transition they are going through at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. |
Broncos | Several players miss minicamp Sat Jun 15, 12:22 PM
Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (foot), RB Audric Estime (knee), CB Delarrin Turner-Yell (undisclosed), S Caden Sterns (undisclosed) and DE John Franklin-Myers (undisclosed) did not participate in the minicamp this week. WR Josh Reynolds was excused from the minicamp.
Footballguys view: Estime had minor knee surgery, but is expected to be ready for camp. If the issue lingers, one of Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine would take up the slack in the between the tackles running game. With Dulcich and Adam Trautman both ailing, watch out for second year tight end Lucas Krull to generate some buzz in training camp. |
Broncos | Tim Patrick firmly in Denver's plans? Sat Jun 15, 12:22 PM
Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) is 'a great teammate' that head coach the team has 'an idea or vision for,' according to head coach Sean Payton earlier this week.'(He brings) those intangibles. I do know and obviously have seen healthy tape. Granted I wasn't here, but I kind of have an idea or vision for the player. Then all the other things that he brings relative to his competitiveness, his versatility. He's a great teammate. I think he's an important part of the locker room, so it's good to see him more and be smart with that,' Payton said.
Footballguys view: Patrick took a pay cut down the veteran minimum, so he's not a sure thing to make the team, but his experience should get him a spot on the roster. If Courtland Sutton is dealt before the season, Patrick could even start opposite free agent signing Josh Reynolds. The Broncos wide receiver group is a bit underwhelming with or without a resurgent Patrick, which will be part of the challenge for Sean Payton and rookie quarterback Bo Nix. |
Broncos | Dylan Leonard dealing with hamstring injury Fri Jun 14, 09:34 PM
Updating a previous report, free-agent TE Dylan Leonard (hamstring) was waived by the Denver Broncos with an injury settlement after suffering a hamstring injury.
Link to storyBroncos | Adam Trautman sits out minicamp Fri Jun 14, 05:48 PM
Denver Broncos TE Adam Trautman (core) did not participate in the minicamp this week because of a core muscle injury, but head coach Sean Payton said the injury is not believed to be serious.
Link to storyBroncos | Riley Moss making an impression Fri Jun 14, 02:31 PM
Denver Broncos CB Riley Moss has 'is smart' and has 'really good transitional skills,' according to head coach Sean Payton. He is firmly in the conversation - along with Damarri Mathis, Levi Wallace and Kris Abrams-Draine - to start opposite Patrick Surtain II this season.'He's smart. I'd say you feel his length at corner. When I say that, just even on that play, it's a tougher play to make if you're a shorter corner. So you feel his length. He has really good transitional skills, and I think he's smart. He's picking up the technique, and he has versatility outside, in. We have good competition there,' Payton said of Smart.

Denver Broncos TE Dylan Leonard (undisclosed) was waived with an injury settlement on Thursday, June 13.
Link to storyBroncos | Andre Smiths signs with Denver Thu Jun 13, 12:16 PM
Free-agent LB Andre X. Smith (Falcons) signed with the Denver Broncos following a minicamp tryout, according to sources Thursday, June 13. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Link to storyBroncos | Greg Dulcich remains sidelined Thu Jun 13, 12:39 AM
Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 12.
Footballguys view: Get to know the name Lucas Krull. While Dulcich has missed the entire offseason (even though Sean Payton hinted he could be out there during minicamp), Krull has been the start of minicamp. Dulcich's spot on the roster is not guaranteed. |
Broncos | Courtland Sutton not ruling out holdout Wed Jun 12, 01:37 PM
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton said he wants to stay with the Broncos for his entire career but is not ruling out the possibility of holding out of training camp depending on his contract situation.
Footballguys view: We can't read anything about trade prospects for Sutton into this. He's saying the right thing for the locker room and the media with the possibility of Sutton being the Broncos #1 receiver getting greater with every passing day. At this point, it might be better for his fantasy stock to stay with the Broncos than go to a better offense, but with a less prominent role and less time to ramp up in his new offense for the season. |
Broncos | Denver taking a look at two free agents Tue Jun 11, 10:41 PM
Free-agent DL Blaine Hoover and LB Jordan Kunaszyk (Browns) are participating in the Denver Broncos minicamp this week on a tryout basis.

Free-agent WR Ra'Shaun Henry (Seahawks), TE Feleipe Franks (Falcons), TE Hunter Kampmoyer (Chargers), LB Andre X. Smith (Falcons) and CB Kyler McMichael (Cardinals) are participating in the Denver Broncos minicamp this week on a tryout basis.
Link to storyBroncos | Adam Trautman works on side Tue Jun 11, 05:32 PM
Denver Broncos TE Adam Trautman (core) worked on the side during practice Tuesday, June 11, because of a core muscle injury. Head coach Sean Payton said it does not appear to be a serious injury.
Link to storyBroncos | Greg Dulcich close to practicing Tue Jun 11, 05:31 PM
Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) has a chance to take part in drills at some point during practice this week, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Link to storyBroncos | Courtland Sutton Reports For Mandatory Minicamp, As Promised Tue Jun 11, 04:55 PM
Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton said he would attend the team's mandatory minicamp, and he has kept his word. Sutton showed up for work today, according to James Palmer.
Footballguys view: Although Sutton wants a new contract and has skipped all of the team's voluntary offseason work, he said he still loves playing for the Broncos and hopes to get a deal done to remain in Denver beyond this season. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last month that Sutton, who started 14 games last season, catching 59 passes for 772 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns, is seeking a contract worth about $15-$16 million annually. It's a small bump, but Sutton has little leverage here. We'll continue to watch for more. |
Broncos | Zach Wilson still in the mix? Sun Jun 9, 03:03 PM
Denver Broncos QB Zach Wilson is still 'in the mix' for the starting quarterback role, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Sunday, June 9.
Footballguys view: Yeah, we'll go ahead and disagree with that. Wilson is 'in the mix' but reports out of OTAs (from our very own Cecil Lammey) have not been kind about Wilson (holding onto the ball too long, throwing picks, running in 7-on-7 drills). We think all roads lead to rookie QB Bo Nix. Perhaps Jarrett Stidham, who has looked steady in OTAs, begins the season as the starter with Nix soon to take over. Nix has looked good (not great) as he learns the nuances of the Sean Payton offense. Overall, we're excited about Nix. |
Broncos | Courtland Sutton will show up for minicamp Thu Jun 6, 05:04 PM
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton skipped voluntary organized team activities in May but told reporters on Thursday, June 6, that he will be present for mandatory minicamp next week.
Footballguys view: No surprise here. Sutton will be at practice when the work is mandatory. He's been missing from voluntary OTAs, and that means we have yet to see how Sutton looks catching passes from 2024 first-round QB Bo Nix. If Sutton is going to stay in Denver, he will want to become a favorite of his new quarterback. Sutton does want a slight bump in pay, but he has no leverage. |
Broncos | Two DBs sit out Tuesday Wed Jun 5, 07:56 PM
Denver Broncos CB Levi Wallace (undisclosed) and S Brandon Jones (undisclosed) did not participate in the voluntary workout Tuesday, June 4.
Link to storyBroncos | Coach believes Courtland Sutton will report Wed Jun 5, 03:23 PM
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton has been absent from the offseason workouts because he is looking for a new contract, but head coach Sean Payton said he expects Sutton to report for the mandatory minicamp next week.
Footballguys view: Sutton wants a bit of a pay bump, but he has little to no leverage in the situation. The Broncos have a jam-packed WR room, and guys like Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele, and Troy Franklin have been impressing while Sutton has been missing voluntary work. We'll likely see Sutton at mandatory minicamp next week, and he needs to start building chemistry with QB Bo Nix. |
Broncos | Troy Franklin signs rookie deal Sun Jun 2, 09:24 AM
Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin signed his four-year rookie contract, the team announced Saturday, June 1.
Footballguys view: Franklin was college teammates with Broncos' first-round pick QB Bo Nix. They were great together at Oregon, and the two are showing strong chemistry during rookie minicamp and OTAs. Franklin is down the depth chart this year, behind at least Marvin Mims and Courtland Sutton. However, we do love him (and Devaughn Vele) in dynasty formats. |
Broncos | Javonte Williams looking good Sat Jun 1, 09:10 AM
Denver Broncos RB Javonte Williams has been looking good during offseason workouts, and head coach Sean Payton said he believes Williams will be more productive this season since he will be another year removed from his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: Williams has some of his burst back, but he doesn't look like he did before the injury. We'll see him continue to get back to full confidence in his burst and speed. Williams will compete with rookie Audric Estime for the starting job in training camp. |
Broncos | Greg Dulcich still working on side Sat Jun 1, 09:10 AM
Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring, foot) worked on the side during the voluntary workout Thursday, May 30.
Footballguys view: Dulcich has talent, but he's rarely healthy. His spot on the 53-man roster is not guaranteed as the team may just move on if he can't get (and stay) on the field. Lucas Krull has been putting on a show in OTAs, and he is looking like a starter (over Dulcich). |
Broncos | Three sit out workouts Fri May 31, 06:45 PM
Denver Broncos TE Dylan Leonard (undisclosed), LB Alec Mock (undisclosed) and LB Durell Nchami (undisclosed) did not participate in the voluntary workout Thursday, May 30.
Link to storyBroncos | Sean Payton hypes up Marvin Mims Fri May 31, 12:18 AM
Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims is expected to show 'a lot of growth from Year 1 to Year 2,' according to head coach Sean Payton on Thursday, May 30.
Footballguys view: Mims has been putting together huge plays during Broncos OTAs. With Courtland Sutton missing voluntary work, Mims is working as the team's no.1 receiver. Mims has speed, and his route-running seems to be better. He could prove to be a valuable 'lottery ticket' pick late in your drafts working in the true Sean Payton offense. |
Broncos | Audric Estime out until training camp Fri May 31, 12:18 AM
Denver Broncos RB Audric Estime (knee) recently underwent a small scope on the knee he injured during organized team activities last week, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Footballguys view: Per Payton, Estime will miss the remainder of offseason activities to rehab but will be ready for the start of training camp. It's not a big deal, but this is a disappointing development. Estime has power to his game, and his first 10 yards are quick. He could push Javonte Williams for the starting job if healthy in training camp. Let's see what he looks like when August rolls around. |
Broncos | Riley Moss sits out Thursday Thu May 30, 08:31 PM
Denver Broncos S Riley Moss (back) did not participate in the voluntary workout Thursday, May 30, because of a back issue but is expected to be on the field next week.
Link to storyBroncos | Courtland Sutton seeking big money Tue May 28, 11:23 AM
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is seeking a contract worth about $15-$16 million annually, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Footballguys view: While Sutton's desired deal seems reasonable enough, USA Today's Jon Heath reminded readers the Broncos took on a $53 million "dead money" cap hit when they released quarterback Russell Wilson. The team currently has about $8.7 million in available cap space. Meanwhile, all the sessions Sutton has missed so far have been voluntary, and the team has downplayed his absence. If he skips mandatory minicamp next month (June 11-13), Sutton could face up to $101,716 in fines. Heath wrote: "Eventually, one side will give in. Either the Broncos will agree to revise his contract" or Sutton will report for practice." Either way, the resolution will come in plenty of time for our purposes. |
Broncos | Patrick Surtain sits out workout Mon May 27, 07:01 PM
Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II (leg) did not participate in the voluntary workout Thursday, May 23, because of a minor leg muscle pull.
Link to storyBroncos | Luke Wattenberg practices with first-team offense Sun May 26, 11:39 AM
Denver Broncos C Luke Wattenberg served as the first-team center during organized team activities last week, while C Alex Forsyth worked with the second-team offense. C Sam Mustipher is also in the running to win the starting job.
Link to storyBroncos | Audric Estime departs early Sun May 26, 01:29 AM
Denver Broncos RB Audric Estime (undisclosed) exited OTAs Thursday, May 23, and did not return.
Footballguys view: No word on Estime at this time. We'll see what the rookie can do next week. He's in line to at least share the workload with Javonte Williams. With Williams perhaps never being the same after a devastating 2022 knee injury, Estime may be the lead back. It's super early, and obviously, Estime must be healthy, but the Broncos' backfield is full of questions...and Estime could be the answer. |
Broncos | Blake Watson shows off hands Sat May 25, 03:52 AM
Denver Broncos RB Blake Watson's receiving skills stood out during OTAs Thursday, May 23, according to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic.
Footballguys view: Watson is an undrafted free agent we love adding to our rosters in super deep dynasty formats. He's one of the fastest backs in this draft class, and Watson was one of two RBs (Oregon's Bucky Irving was the other) in the FBS who caught 50-plus passes last year. As a former high school receiver, Watson knows how to run routes and catches the ball naturally. We will see Watson compete with Jaleel McLaughlin for the change-of-pace job on the Broncos' depth chart. |
Broncos | Tim Patrick stepping up Sat May 25, 03:52 AM
Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick was praised for his leadership by head coach Sean Payton. 'He's smart, he's tough, and I would say he's one of the leaders in that room,' Payton said.
Footballguys view: Reports have indicated Patrick may not be as fast as he used to be. After missing the last two seasons (ACL, Achilles'), we're certain Patrick is excited to get out there and earn a spot on the depth chart. The Broncos have an interesting group of talented young receivers, so Patrick's job is not safe. |
Broncos | Greg Dulcich may return soon Sat May 25, 03:52 AM
Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) could return to practice in the near future, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Footballguys view: Dulcich's hamstring and foot issues have caused him to miss a lot of football. Last year, Dulcich only appeared in two games which makes 12 contests played in two seasons. Lucas Krull was a standout player last week in OTAs, so Dulcich is not cemented as the clear-cut pass-catching tight end when healthy. In fact, Dulcich's spot on the roster is not guaranteed. |
Broncos | Jarrett Stidham ready to compete Fri May 24, 04:02 PM
Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham said he is looking forward to competing with QB Bo Nix and QB Zach Wilson for the starting quarterback job during training camp.
Footballguys view: Stidham was perhaps the most steady at the Broncos' OTAs on Thursday. However, even with a year in the Sean Payton system, Stidham is not very exciting as a passer. Nix has looked good so far this offseason, and he seems to be a perfect fit for Payton's offense. |
Broncos | QB Nix Developing Quickly Fri May 24, 12:42 AM
Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix is 'farther along' than most rookie quarterbacks would be, according to head coach Sean Payton. 'We're talking about a player who's played 61 games,' Payton said. 'He's extremely smart. He's picked it up very quickly.'
Footballguys view: Nix looks like he fits Payton perfectly. He stays on time and on rhythm as a passer, much different from what Russell Wilson did last year under Payton. Nix also will go deep if you blitz him, as evidenced by his FBS-leading 8.9 YPA under duress. So far in Broncos camp, Nix has looked like the real deal. |
Broncos | Tim Patrick back on field Fri May 24, 12:42 AM
Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) participated in the voluntary workout Thursday, May 23.
Footballguys view: Patrick had to be happy to be out there after missing the last two seasons due to injury. He did not show the same speed as before these injuries at Thursday's minicamp, and Patrick's spot on the roster is far from guaranteed. |
Broncos | October return for Drew Sanders? Thu May 23, 04:59 PM
Denver Broncos LB Drew Sanders (Achilles) is recovering from a torn Achilles' tendon, but head coach Sean Payton said Sanders has a chance to return to the lineup at some point in October.
Link to storyBroncos | Three QBs work with starters Thu May 23, 02:32 PM
Denver Broncos QBs Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson all worked with the first-team offense during the voluntary workouts this week.
Link to storyBroncos | Courtland Sutton remains absent Thu May 23, 02:23 PM
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton was not present for the voluntary workout Thursday, May 23.
Footballguys view: There was some talk that Sutton could be traded during the draft, but he remained a Bronco. He's due $13 million this year, which is not trivial, but not exorbitant for a starting wide receiver. Just about anywhere else would have a better quarterback situation, but Sutton would not be the clear #1 wideout like he is in Denver. |
Broncos | Caden Sterns listed as limited Thu May 23, 02:17 PM
Denver Broncos S Caden Sterns (undisclosed) was limited during the voluntary workout Thursday, May 23.
Link to storyBroncos | Two players working on side Thu May 23, 02:17 PM

Link to storyBroncos | Drew Sanders suffers serious injury Mon May 20, 07:19 PM
Denver Broncos LB Drew Sanders (Achilles) suffered a torn Achilles' tendon earlier this offseason and has undergone surgery to repair the injury, according to sources. He may have the chance to return in the middle or near the end of the 2024 regular season.
Link to storyBroncos | Justin Simmons not expected back Fri May 17, 05:07 PM
Free-agent S Justin Simmons (Broncos) appears unlikely to re-sign with the Denver Broncos this offseason, in the opinion of The Denver Post's Parker Gabriel.
Link to storyBroncos | Jonah Elliss on pace for camp Thu May 16, 01:33 PM
Denver Broncos LB Jonah Elliss (shoulder) should be recovered from shoulder surgery in time to participate in training camp.
Footballguys view: Elliss had surgery six months ago, so the team expects there to be enough time for him to recover to make a big impact this year on defense. He had 12 sacks in 10 games at Utah last year and could be a value as a third round pick because of the injury. |
