Crushing DRAFT's Bestball Contests

DRAFT's best ball contests are fun, addictive, and can be extremely profitable. With a 30-second draft clock, one can usually jump in a contest and complete a draft within 30 minutes. As Best-Ball contests, one does not need to allocate any additional team after the draft. Your top quarterback, top two running backs, top three wide receivers, top tight end, and top flex will play every week. Draft a deep/solid roster and reap the rewards.

Simple Checklist to dominate Draft's 12-Team contests

  1. Enter your pre-draft rankings into the website. Don't attempt to participate in these type of contests without entering a list into their rankings form. The 30-second clock is fast and a list safeguards you from overlooking something when picks get sniped. Use this link to enter your NFL rank list. If you would like to piggyback on my current list, I have provided it at the end of this article.

  2. Use the first eight picks on running backs and wide receivers. Ideally, you should have four of each after eight rounds. These players make up your core build.

  3. Wait at the quarterback and tight end positions. I end up with my best teams by waiting until round nine or later before even considering adding tight ends and/or quarterbacks.

  4. Use your 18 roster spots to secure three quarterbacks, six running backs, seven wide receivers, and two tight ends. Although I will sometimes deviate from this roster construct, I will craft 90+% of my rosters with this configuration. It's a proven winning build strategy.

  5. Stay flexible. If you have drafted running backs with your first three picks, strongly consider choosing a wide receiver next. Staying flexible maximizes your chance to get value with every pick.
