DAL @ NO
- Ezekiel Elliott still looks like he’s limited and Tony Pollard broke this game open with a long score. We’ll see if this results in more of a committee going forward
- The Cowboys passing game was only modestly successful, but with only a dash of Amari Cooper. CeeDee Lamb added a lot of value after the catch and could have had a touchdown on a fourth down throw if Dak Prescott had been more accurate. Michael Gallup had an all-pro level play on an end zone fade or Prescott would have accounted for no scores. It’s not clear whether Prescott is a starting fantasy quarterback for the playoffs.
- Taysom Hill had a great fantasy game, but was atrocious as a passer, with four interceptions and 19 completions on 41 attempts. He’ll be tough to bench against the Jets this week as he plays through a finger injury that probably affected his passing.
- Alvin Kamara wasn’t ready for this one, but could return this week, making both he and Mark Ingram decent plays against the Jets, but Ingram is startable either way.
IND @ HOU
- Carson Wentz didn’t do much because this game was never really close, but in a good sign for his value after the bye, Michael Pittman had over 100 total yards.
- Tyrod Taylor hurt his wrist and was playing bad enough that most thought he got benched. Brandin Cooks could actually benefit from the switch to Davis Mills.
MIN @ DET
- Adam Thielen went out with a high ankle sprain and will miss at least Week 14.
- Tyler Conklin and K.J. Osborn both put up good numbers with Thielen sitting and should be waiver wire adds across formats. Conklin is a good Goedert/Gesicki bye fill-in.
- Jared Goff and the Lions finally won, in part because of a good connection with Amon-Ra St. Brown, who caught the game winner on the final play. St. Brown should be picked up in PPR leagues.
NYG @ MIA
- Saquon Barkley may be on fantasy benches from here on out and only scratched out a decent PPR game on a bunch of short receptions.
- Tua Tagovailoa was consistent and effective with DeVante Parker back and should be considered a high floor fantasy QB2 with matchup QB1 potential after the bye. Parker’s presence didn’t keep Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki from being solid plays.
TB @ ATL
- The Bucs mercilessly passed on the Falcons, throwing three times for every rush attempt despite winning by a comfortable margin. This is a good sign for the value of all of the key passing game pieces.
- Russell Gage had a good fantasy game despite a fumble and getting a little banged up. He’s the #1 target with Kyle Pitts getting a ton of defensive attention, and a worth a pickup in PPR leagues.
PHI @ NYJ
- Gardner Minshew made the pass offense hum and fed Dallas Goedert for two big scores, but it was the Jets. Jalen Hurts will still start after the bye as long as he’s able to.
- Miles Sanders ran well but left with an ankle injury. Boston Scott didn’t play because of an illness, but he and Kenneth Gainwell could be the Week 15 backfield against Washington.
- Zach Wilson was good for a half, he got another quarterback sneak score, and he knows how to feed Elijah Moore, but it was the Eagles. Tevin Coleman is having bad touchdown luck and will run into a brick wall against the Saints this week, so he’s only an emergency play. Moore’s value is proving to transcend Wilson’s shaky play.
ARI @ CHI
- Kyler Murray was a productive runner for the first time in a while and he was a great fantasy play even though he only threw the ball 15 times, possibly in part due to bad conditions. The offense should return to more balance at home against the Rams this week.
- James Conner is rolling, including as a receiver, and has the look of a league winning running back from the mid rounds.
- DeAndre Hopkins was back and made another impossible touchdown catch. He could have something good in store for the fantasy playoffs.
- Andy Dalton had four interceptions, but they weren’t all his fault. He had to throw a ton, but still didn’t make sweet music with Darnell Mooney. Dalton could get one more start in Week 14 at Green Bay.
- David Montgomery was very strong against a weak Cardinals run defense and he also was a good receiver. He gets Minnesota, Seattle, and the Giants Weeks 15-17.
LAC @ CIN
- Justin Herbert had a few struggles but found Keenan Allen in the end zone twice (touchdown rate correction!), and Jalen Guyton bailed him out on an underthrown deep ball for a score. Mike Williams was making plays at the boundary, so this was a good day for the Chargers pass offense despite the Bengals defense forcing turnovers and getting home with the pass rush.
- Austin Ekeler had a couple of fumbles, and got banged up. He was talked about being a bit worn down during the week. Justin Jackson was the backup this week, but the Chargers use of their backup running backs is seemingly unpredictable.
- Joe Burrow suffered a finger injury and made a few mistakes, but one of his picks was a pass that was supposed to be a long score to Ja’Marr Chase, but Chase bobbled it into the air and it became an interception. Then the team was driving to retake the lead after falling behind 24-0 and Joe Mixon fumbled, which was returned for a score by the Chargers. The Bengals offense was snakebit in this one.
- Tee Higgins is hot and Burrow is putting the ball in good spots for him to win at the catch point.
- Mixon was held in check, but did score. He got a little banged up, so Samaje Perine’s speculative value is growing.
- Tyler Boyd was more involved, and might have matchup WR3/Flex value for the fantasy playoffs. The 49ers are up next.
JAX @ LAR
- James Robinson was basically benched for a fumble that was really just an outstanding play by Aaron Donald. Urban Meyer is making Robinson a dicey play down the stretch.
- Sony Michel was workmanlike but productive in place of Darrell Henderson and could force more of a committee when Henderson can play again, probably this week.
- Van Jefferson was the clear #2 with Odell Beckham banged up and Beckham’s touchdown came in garbage time. Until further notice Jefferson > Beckham
WAS @ LV
- Antonio Gibson is taking the Washington offense on his shoulder, which has combined with good defensive play to take some oomph out of Terry McLaurin’s weekly outlook.
- Logan Thomas caught a score, but also suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury. Ricky Seals-Jones could be back this week to replace him.
- Hunter Renfrow is the man in this pass offense with Darren Waller out as Foster Moreau was mostly a forgotten man.
- Josh Jacobs was a full-time back as Kenyan Drake left with a broken ankle early in the game. Peyton Barber is the backup, which is important since Jacobs looked like he was less than 100% at times.
BAL @ PIT
- Lamar Jackson is still having trouble with pressure and being comfortable in the passing game. T.J. Watt forced a bad throw on a two-point conversion attempt to Mark Andrews for the game.
- Rashod Bateman is being marginalized from the offense and won’t have value down the stretch.
- Devonta Freeman is turning into a #1 back for fantasy with his passing game involvement and clearly being ahead of Latavius Murray at the goal line.
- Ben Roethlisberger appeared to be basically calling the plays in the second half and it brought the offense out of its slumber. Diontae Johnson’s value is up on this development, and he dropped a third score on a perfect long pass from Roethlisberger.
- The Ravens lost Marlon Humphrey and will be a secondary to pick on when we set our lineups.
SF @ SEA
- George Kittle was unstoppable and appears to peaking heading into the stretch run.
- Brandon Aiyuk had a few drops or a bigger game was there. He’s worth playing in Week 14 if Deebo Samuel is out, but the team hopes he’ll be ready.
- Elijah Mitchell suffered a concussion and Jeff Wilson a flare up of his knee condition. JaMycal Hasty could start at Cincinnati.
- Jimmy Garoppolo had a few big mistakes that will increase questions about whether Trey Lance should start before the end of the season.
- Russell Wilson and the passing game was back in effect as the Seahawks overcame a 23-14 deficit. If Gerald Everett hadn’t fumbled twice at the goal line and bobbled another would be touchdown into an interception, the win would have been more comfortable.
DEN @ KC
- Teddy Bridgewater and the passing game is D.O.A. for fantasy, but it will be tempting to try Jerry Jeudy against the Lions this week.
- Javonte Williams was strong in his debut as the starter, but his touchdown came in garbage time.
- The Broncos stifled Patrick Mahomes II rendering no Chief a good fantasy play, but a defensive score gave the team breathing room. At least they face the Raiders defense that they just went off against in Week 10, Mahomes’ only good fantasy game since October.
NE @ BUF
- The Patriots chose to pass only three times after opening up an 8-0 lead on a long Damien Harris touchdown run. Harris left with a hamstring injury, opening the door for Rhamondre Stevenson to possibly start after the bye.
- Josh Allen was actually very impressive considering the extreme wind. Multiple drops kept him from having what would have been a good fantasy night against the odds.
- Matt Breida had a bad and costly fumble and basically was not heard from again. Zack Moss and Devin Singletary weren’t much better in his stead.
