A PPR Top 250 list is notoriously difficult to prepare during training camp. As you read this, injuries being assessed, players are gaining or losing buzz, and depth charts are fluid. We can still take our best shot as prime fantasy draft season is approaching. Having a strong foundational starting point to make your adjustments from is a key to not letting yourself overreact to camp news. So where should we start while the firehose is on full blast?
- Jonathan Taylor (RB-IND) - Perfect alignment with scheme, peaking talent, QB play will improve
- Christian McCaffrey (RB-CAR) - Track record justifies injury risk, QB play will improve
- Cooper Kupp (WR-LAR) - Only Stafford’s elbow exploding would make this a bad pick
- Justin Jefferson (WR-MIN) - Soon to be Kupp North
- Austin Ekeler (RB-LAC) - Main cog in a great offense
- Travis Kelce (TE-KC) - Main cog in a great (good?) offense
- JaMarr Chase (WR-CIN) - Likely to grow in Year 2 a la Jefferson
- Joe Mixon (RB-CIN) - Finally saw what he could do in a good offense
- Dalvin Cook (RB-MIN) - Offense improvement bump vs. injury risk, watch finger injury
- Stefon Diggs (WR-BUF) - Safe late first-round pick
- Mike Evans (WR-TB) - The healthiest tenured receiver in an explosive pass offense
- CeeDee Lamb (WR-DAL) - Huge target spike vs. not clicking with Dak second half
- Derrick Henry (RB-TEN) - Maybe I’m too worried that he and the Titans already peaked
- Najee Harris (RB-PIT) - Maybe I’m too worried about Steelers OL and QB
- Davante Adams (WR-LV) - Leaving Aaron Rodgers can’t bring a bump in value
- Saquon Barkley (RB-NYG) - Demonstrated elite RB upside, could be a league winner
- Aaron Jones (RB-GB) - Dillon caps ceiling but could be Rodgers' favorite receiver
- Leonard Fournette (RB-TB) - Likely to miss some games but otherwise rock solid RB1
- DAndre Swift (RB-DET) - Ascendant talent in ascendant O, hasn’t come together yet
- Javonte Williams (RB-DEN) - Ascendant talent in ascendant O, hasn’t come together yet
- Mark Andrews (TE-BAL) - Target bump coming, but wasn’t as good with Lamar last year
- Tyreek Hill (WR-MIA) - Leaving Patrick Mahomes II can’t bring a bump in value
- Deebo Samuel (WR-SF) - New contract, should remain involved in the backfield
- Tee Higgins (WR-CIN) - Was even with Chase PPG before Week 17
- Nick Chubb (RB-CLE) - So steady
- Alvin Kamara (RB-NO) - Usage wasn’t first-round level when Ingram returned, suspension?
- James Conner (RB-ARI) - Clear lead back but some worry about run game, durability
- Kyle Pitts (TE-ATL) - Defenses will focus on him but could take Calvin year 2 leap
- Darren Waller (TE-LV) - Will get fewer but more valuable targets
- Keenan Allen (WR-LAC) - So steady
- A.J. Brown (WR-PHI) - Has eaten with low volume before, some durability risk
- Michael Pittman (WR-IND) - Could make beautiful music with Ryan
- Allen Robinson (WR-LAR) - Could make beautiful music with Stafford (elbow?)
- Courtland Sutton (WR-DEN) - Could make beautiful music with Wilson
- Ezekiel Elliott (RB-DAL) - Pretty safe at ADP, but feels like peak is behind him
- Cam Akers (RB-LAR) - Unproven but high ceiling due to offense quality
- George Kittle (TE-SF) - Can afford to weather troughs for spike weeks at ADP
- D.J. Moore (WR-CAR) - Likely QB play bump, could be huge value
- Mike Williams (WR-LAC) - Was strong to elite WR1 when healthy last year
- Darnell Mooney (WR-CHI) - Can only go up from 1k season in second year
- Jaylen Waddle (WR-MIA) - Might get less attention than Hill and prosper
- Gabriel Davis (WR-BUF) - Set up for breakout year
- Marquise Brown (WR-ARI) - Watch health in camp, getting upgrade in deep passing
- Diontae Johnson (WR-PIT) - PPR volume play
- Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR-DET) - PPR volume play
- A.J. Dillon (RB-GB) - Role will only grow; could be league winner
- Chris Godwin (WR-TB) - Positive news to open camp; could be huge value
- Josh Allen (QB-BUF) - Clear QB1, but QB depth pushes down board
- DK Metcalf (WR-SEA) - Will have a few ceiling games, but ride could be rough
- Terry McLaurin (WR-WAS) - Will have a few ceiling games. But ride could be rough
