Wednesday Media Updates

***Kyler Murray said he made "crazy strides" in his recovery over the past few days and "feels way better." He's still considered day-to-day but is expecting to return. If he does return, he's unlikely to be ready to be a dual-threat option from the pocket.

***Monitor Alvin Kamara's status carefully. He reportedly suffered a mild knee sprain last week. Video suggests an MCL injury and there's a tone of concern among some in the local media. Kamara could be dealing with midweek stiffness that puts his availability in question.

***Urban Meyer said James Robinson was looking good to play earlier in the week but he's still unable to practice. A limited workout on Thursday would be reassuring.

***Ezekiel Elliott told reporters his knee felt good and he was able to do more in Wednesday's practice than he expected. He's likely to play but could be limited in practice through the week.

***DeAndre Hopkins remains unable to practice. He's questionable at best this week. Often, players known for playing through injury are more comfortable allowing themselves to get closer to full strength after they've already missed one game.

***Chris Godwin missed the first official practice after the Buccaneers' bye week and is uncertain to play per Bruce Arians. Antonio Brown was still in a boot last week and is still in the early stages of rehab.

***Clyde Edwards-Helaire was designated to return but is likely still a week from returning.

***Chris Carson was designated to return, a move the Seahawks would be unlikely to make unless they were confident he was close to returning.

***Chase Claypool will be out this week after a toe injury that will likely require multiple weeks of rehab.

***Anticipate more players to be added to COVID-reserve as we approach respiratory virus season. Aaron Rodgers and A.J. Green should be cleared in time to play, although neither will have practiced. Nick Chubb is unlikely to play.

Here are the key offensive players listed on the practice participation or game status report for Thursday Night Football:

Baltimore at Miami

***The Ravens will be without Latavius Murray again. Sammy Watkins returned to a full practice by the end of the week and is expected to play.

***Tua Tagovailoa has a fracture on his throwing hand and continues to struggle with grip strength and discomfort while throwing. He hopes to play but is likely more doubtful than questionable.

Early week practice participation and playing expectations

The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team is limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
