Wednesday Media Updates

***Dak Prescott participated in individual drills and was moving well and throwing without difficulty. The Cowboys won't commit to Prescott playing but are including him in the game plan. Expect him to return with limited rushing and scrambling attempts.

***The Giants did not clarify the status of Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, or Kadarius Toney. Joe Judge told reporters the team would know more after Thursday's practice. All three players remain questionable at best.

***Rob Gronkowski returned to practice in a helmet and pads today and has likely been cleared for contact. He will likely return this week.

***Nick Chubb felt strong after a Monday workout and was cleared to return to a limited practice on Wednesday. He's trending toward returning this week.

***Antonio Brown has an ankle injury that is affecting his heel. He was partially weight-bearing with a crutch on Wednesday and is not expected to play.

***Deebo Samuel missed practice with a calf injury. Mike Shanahan did not appear concerned about Samuel's availability.

***Miles Sanders has a week-to-week ankle injury and is unlikely to practice or play.

***Jarvis Landry suffered a new knee injury last week unrelated to the MCL sprain that landed him on injured reserve earlier in the season. Kevin Stefanski told reporters he's hopeful Landry will practice by the end of the week. That's not an optimistic outlook.

***Baker Mayfield returned to practice and is confident he'll be able to play with a harness. Mayfield said his range of motion had improved after resting for a week.

THURSDAY NIGHT INJURY EXPECTATIONS

Here are the key offensive players listed on the practice participation or game status report for Thursday Night Football:

Green Bay at Arizona

***DeAndre Hopkins did not practice all week with a hamstring injury. He's listed questionable but expected to play.

***The Packers will be without Davante Adams (COVID+) and Allen Lazard (COVID close contact) on Thursday night. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is likely to return from a hamstring injury and play. The Packers haven't confirmed whether they will add Valdes-Scantling to the active roster. Given the state of the wide receiver depth chart, expect Green Bay to do so.

Early week practice participation and playing expectations

The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team is limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
