Welcome to the dynasty trading post, where optimizing strategy, roster construction, format, and player value oscillations are examined weekly in example and completed dynasty trades.
This week, we will analyze Tank Dell, Trevor Lawrence, and Jake Browning in the dynasty market as the three most traded players.
*All trades are Superflex unless stated otherwise*
WR Tank Dell, Houston Texans
Theme of the Week: Injury creates opportunity
Tank Dell's rookie season ends with an injury, but his quality career-start profile remains heading into the offseason. Sifting for similar age 21-23 receiver seasons with Dell's 2.22 yards per route run, 23% target per route run, and fantasy points per game profile reveals the following seasonal peers:
- Jerry Jeudy
- Tee Higgins
- CeeDee Lamb
- DJ Moore
- Michael Gallup
- DeAndre Hopkins
- Randall Cobb
- A.J. Green
- Hakeem Nicks
The results are rock-solid for the following season in this peer group with an average of 2.02 yards per route run and 15.1 PPG. 44% produced a season of at least 16 PPG and 22% hit 18+ PPG. Considering his age, rookie season, and connection with C.J. Stroud, Dell's market value in the WR20-25 range is affordable. If contending, selling Dell for production this season and beyond is an option, plus the risk factor of Houston adding to the skill position talent in the offseason.
Here are a few key Dell trades this week
- Dell, 2024 3rd for Dalton Kincaid (1.5 PPR TE)
- Dell for Nico Collins
- Dell, 2024 3rd for Travis Etienne Jr.
- Dell, Mark Andrews for Sam LaPorta, 2024 2nd (1.25 PPR TE)
- Dell for Drake London, 2024 3rd
Of these, the Dell-Andrews trade is particularly instructive as a buying opportunity. LaPorta-2nd to a contender and receiving Dell-Andrews is a boon when profile-collecting for 2024 and beyond. This is getting Dell for less than a 1st equivalent and finding a discount on Andrews. The other is adding to Dell for Travis Etienne Jr., a Round 1 running back with insulation and producing well.

QB Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Theme of the Week: Timing the Market
Any injured player offers an opportunity to buy at a discount, or at least the player is more likely available at market value due to a lack of lineup availability. Lawrence is out for Week 14 but has yet to be ruled out for any longer duration. The market is liquid on either side as a buyer or seller. Acquiring Lawrence as a profile for the offseason and a stepping stone for a future trade-up at the position is prudent. Also, exploring the market for help now if Lawrence is solidly inside the QB1/2 line for a dynasty depth on a contender is another strategy.
- Lawrence, Christian Kirk for Justin Herbert
- Lawrence, Saquon Barkley, 2024 1st for Patrick Mahomes II
- Lawrence, Gabe Davis, Evan Engram for Josh Allen
- Lawrence, 2025 2nd, 2026 2nd for Lamar Jackson
All of these trades highlight how Lawrence can be upgraded to a higher-level quarterback, both for availability down the stretch and for profiling for the future. Lawrence has the profile of a quality NFL quarterback, but one to question his elite ceiling on the fantasy side. Now is an ideal time to test the market on Mahomes and Herbert as buying opportunities as a secondary point of this section.
QB Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
Theme of the Week: Supplementation or Exit Strategy
Jake Browning is coming off a sizzling performance in Week 13, completing 87% of his passes and avoiding negative plays. The focus was on short-range passes (4.1 aDOT), but he was the classic point guard to facilitate after-the-catch opportunities with his talented pass catchers. Browning is one of the most traded dynasty players this week with a window of the rest of the season for starts, plus showing functionality over two starts and a relief appearance. Browning is back to a backup option in 2024 as the Bengals control his exclusive rights free agent status beyond this season.
- Browning, 2024 3rd, 2024 4th for 2024 2nd
- Browning, Gus Edwards for 2026 2nd
- Browning, 2024 3rd for Diontae Johnson
- Browning, Latavius Murray, 2024 2nd, 2024 3rd for Aaron Rodgers, Terry McLaurin
Browning has been sold for a 2024 3rd on numerous occasions this week, but a 2024 2nd is possible on the higher end of outcomes, even if needing to add to the Browning side. The Rodgers deal is a boon profile-wise when shifting timelines to next season and beyond. If Browning is not vital to a dynasty team's quarterback depth chart and the team is contending in the closing weeks, Browning is a must-sell exploration ahead of Week 14.
