Injury Expectations | Midweek Update | Week 16

Wednesday Media Updates

***Antonio Gibson sprained his big toe on Tuesday night. It's a painful injury that limited him toward the end of last season. The short turnaround to Sunday's game will stress Gibson's recovery timetable.

***Joe Mixon fully practiced and looks to be preparing to play despite a concerning ankle injury last week.

***Lamar Jackson was not cleared to practice. John Harbaugh said the Ravens are in "wait and see" mode. Jackson remains on the doubtful side of questionable.

***Leonard Fournette will not play this week. There is still a chance he'll be moved to injured reserve.

***Adam Thielen was limited and said he was "close" to playing on Monday night. His status remains questionable.

***Miles Sanders did not practice with a quad injury but local reporters believe this to be short-week rest rather than a concerning injury threatening Sanders' availability.

***DAndre Swift returned to practice for the first time in a month. Dan Campbell felt Swift looked "pretty good" but would not commit to Swift returning.

Here are the key offensive players listed on the practice participation or game status report for Thursday Night Football:

San Francisco at Tennessee

***The Titans should have A.J. Brown and Julio Jones available. Brown returned to practice and should have no conditioning issues from his chest wall injury. It will be surprising if he's not active and playing. Jones managed just 27 snaps last week and did not practice until Wednesday but was not listed on the injury report and is expected to play.

Early week practice participation and playing expectations

The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team is limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
