Wednesday Media Updates
***Amari Cooper felt soreness in his right ankle during Wednesday's practice and was sent for an MRI. The Cowboys said the imaging was precautionary and reassuring. Multiple local and national writers reported no major concern from their sources.
***The Chiefs' running back depth chart should be the same this week. LeSean McCoy is expected to play. Damien Williams is still not practicing.
***T.Y. Hilton did not practice today. Multiple beat writers give him a chance to play but I think he's closer to doubtful. Aggravated muscle strains are difficult to recover from within seven days.
***The Ravens continue to increase the limitations on Mark Andrews. It's still unclear what's ailing Andrews but the trend toward earlier and earlier missed practice could be worrisome.
***Case Keenum was in a walking boot rather than practicing on Wednesday but Jay Gruden expects him to play. Colt McCoy returned to practice but isn't expected to be ready this week.
THURSDAY NIGHT INJURY EXPECTATIONS
Here are the key offensive players listed on the practice participation or game status report for Thursday Night Football:
Philadelphia at Green Bay
***The Eagles are without DeSean Jackson but both Dallas Goedert and Alshon Jeffery returned to full practices this week and are not on the game status report. Both are approaching full recoveries.
***On defense, the Eagles will be missing two starters -- defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan and cornerback Ronald Darby.
***Green Bay continues to list more than ten players on their practice report every week but the team is healthy overall. Za'Darius Smith and Kyler Fackrell are both listed questionable but expected to play.
Early week practice participation and playing expectations
The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team are limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
*Note: Monday night players with asterisk practice Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
