Each week we ask 10 staff members to rank their top players at each Fanduel position. These rankings are based on what our DFS staff believe are the best players at each position with respect to total points they will receive compared to the dollars that they cost. These rankings can be used to help you round out your cash game and GPP lineups, or just provide a guideline for what the Footballguys.com staff believe are the best value-plays to target

Each Staffer was asked to rank 8 QBs, 12 RBs, 12 WRs, 8 TEs, 5 PKs, and 5 Defenses. For the purposes of calculating an average rank, if a player was not ranked by a particular staffer, they received a weight that was 1 point higher than the players they ranked. For example. if only 2 staffers ranked a particular quarterback, the other 8 staffers were weighted as giving that quarterback a '9' for average calculation purposes.

Drew Brees tops the value QB charts this week. Despite his salary being 700 higher than the #2 QB Matt Ryan, Brees makes an excellent cash option this week. With almost a 30 point implied total according to the Vegas O/U and being a six point home favorite against the Lions, it’s easy to see why. Brees has 12 TD passes and 1 TD run over his last four games and an eye-popping 1223 yards passing over the same span. He’s also facing a Lions defense that is ranked 14th against the pass, giving up about 250 yards a game on average. With the New Orleans defense improving and the offense completely engaged, you can look for Brees to have another big week.
If you’re looking to save a few bucks this week at QB, check out Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, both of whom are 2000 cheaper than Brees at ‘just’ 7700. Wilson is coming off a terrible game against Tampa Bay where he was held to just 150 yards passing, 0 TDs and 2 Ints. His 80 rushing yards helped, but many DFS players lost in their cash games using him last week. But Wilson had 900 passing yards and 6 passing TDs with 0 INTS in the previous three games and this week he faces a Carolina defense ranked 29th against the pass, allowing more than 275 yards per game through the air. The Panthers are coming off a Sunday night loss to the Raiders where Derek Carr hung 315 yards and 2 Passing TDs on them. Aaron Rodgers is coming off one of his best games of the season against a tough Philadelphia Defense. He ‘only’ had 313 yards and 2 TDS, but against the Eagles, that’s pretty solid. Rodgers has over 1030 yards passing in his last three games, including 7 passing TDs against just 2 Ints. This week he’s a 6.5 point favorite at home against the Texans, a team that is looking weaker against the pass as of late, surrendering 547 yards passing and 6 passing TDs over the last two weeks. Both Rodgers and Wilson make attractive cash game options at QB this week.
If you’re looking to really cut back on QB salary, several staffers like Matt Barkley’s matchup at home against the 49ers. Barkley looked OK last week against the Titans, posting 316 yards passing and 3 TDS despite a staggering 10 dropped passes by the makeshift Chicago receiving corps. Barkley’s been named the starter for the remainder of the season with Jay Cutler on IR now, and he gets his second start of the season against the 49ers, a team giving up over 250 yards per game through the air and they are ranked 31st in passing TDs allowed with 26 against just 7 INTs for the season. Barkley is basement priced at just 6000 and if you want to pay up at other positions, Barkley will give you some much needed salary cap relief.
Alexander
Fitzpatrick: Always a better bet for production at home, Fitzpatrick is dirt cheap and matched up against an Indianapolis defense that has given up the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Taylor: With Sammy Watkins looking good and expecting to get more run in a plus matchup, Taylor regains the 30 point ceiling he flashed in 2015
Hindery
Roethlisberger: The Giants pass defense is good. But we've regurarly seen Roethlisberger pick apart top defenses at home in recent years.
Barkley: Barkley was surprisingly good last week and has a plum matchup against an awful San Francisco defense. As the cheapest quarterback on the slate, he is worth a shot in GPPs and helps pay up for the elite running backs.
Mamula
Brees: Fade Brees at your own risk when he is in the Superdome!
Kaepernick: High rushing floor. Averging 62 rushing yards/per game this season.
Roethlisberger: Expect the Steelers/Giants game to shootout

The Chalk is expensive this week at RB with David Johnson at 9200 and LeVeon Bell at 9300 topping the value charts at #1 and #2. Johnson had a rough game against the Falcons last week, but still managed to post 160 yards from scrimmage and a TD. Johnson is a threat both running and catching the ball out of the backfield and he’s got a good matchup this week against Washington, a team that gave up 120 all purpose yards and 2 TDs to Ezekiel Elliot on Thanksgiving day. Bell has been on fire these last two weeks, posting 343 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs in his last two starts. Granted that was against Cleveland and Indianapolis, and this week his opponent is significantly tougher against the run: the New York Giants. The Giants have been stingy against the run as of late, but have given up the 13th most points to fantasy running backs for the season. Of the two top backs this week though, Johnson looks to have the easier match-up.
If your salary cap doesn’t allow for such riches at RB this week, consider Jeremy Hill at just 5800. Hill took over the starting role for Giovanni Bernard after he was lost for the season two weeks ago, and he performed reasonable well against the top ranked Baltimore Ravens last week posting 82 yards from scrimmage. This week he faces Philadelphia in a match that doesn’t tilt well in his favor, but the key for Hill is that he’s the feature back with almost no competition so he will have a high floor and push for 20 touches in this game as well. At just 5800, Hill doesn’t need much production to reach cash game value.
Jordan Howard might present the best bang for your buck, at just 7400, but facing the soft 49er defense that ranks last in the league allowing 171 yards per game and a staggering 5.1 yard per carry to opposing RBs. Howard is splitting time with Jeremy Langford in Chicago, but he’s still getting a good chunk of the work. Last week he had 21 touches against the Titans, and posted 127 yards from scrimmage. Against the 49ers he should do much better, and his salary makes is a lot easier for him to reach value than David Johnson or LeVeon Bell.
Mamula
David Johnson: One of the best RBs in DFS in a plus matchup
LeVeon Bell: Bell is Option 1A to David Johnson. Both RB rack up receptions and yardage.
Rashad Jennings: At least 17 touches/per game over the past 3 games. Great matchup vs. Steelers
Devontae Booker: At least 25 touches in each of the past 2 games. Plus matchup vs. Jaguars
Hindery
Hyde: With the Bears missing their top two linebackers and likely to pay extra attention to Colin Kaepernick as a runner, this is a sneaky good spot for a big game from Hyde.
Blount: A strong GPP play because there's a decent chance we see a "Blount game" with Brady's knee injured and the Pats favored by two touchdowns at home.
Alexander
Hill: Hill saw 72% of the Bengals backfield touches -- including an encouraging six receptions -- in his first game with Giovani Bernard on the shelf.
Starks: Starks was in on 76% of Green Bay's offensive snaps on Monday night football, proving Christine Michael was strictly a depth add. A home matchup with Houston with the Packers favored by six is a nice spot for the affordable Starks.

At WR, the usual suspects top the charts for value-based players this week. Michael Thomas represents almost ‘must start’ value with his salary still at just 6900 despite posting 108 yards receiving and 2 TDs last week against the Rams. This week against the Lions, Drew Brees tops the charts at Value QBs and his top receiver Michael Thomas should be stacked with him a lot this week.
Julio Jones and Antonio Brown represent the chalk plays this week at WR. Jones is coming of a disappointing performance against the Cardinals last week, but their defense is one of the best at stopping the pass. In his two previous games before that, Jones had 146 yards receiving and a TD on 18 receptions and 27 targets. This week he faces the Chiefs, a team that gave up 3 receiving TDs to the Broncos last week and allowed Emmanuel Sanders to run wild with 162 receiving yards on just 7 receptions. Antonio Brown had an impressive thanksgiving posting ‘just’ five receptions for 91 yards against the Colts but he found the end zone three times with those receptions as well. The Giants gave up 131 receiving yards to Terrelle Pryor last week, giving Brown an excellent opportunity to reach value despite his expensive pricetag.
If you’re looking to save money at one of your WR positions, consider Tyreek Hill at just 5800. Hill is a dynamic receiver, on a Kansas City team that is in serious need of one. Hill is becoming more involved in the offense, and he even managed to post a rushing TD last week when he had a red zone carry from the three yard line and just ran away from an aggressive Denver defense for the score. Hill has 28 targets over the last three weeks, and he’s converted that into 23 receptions for 194 yards and a score. He’s still a great price, and should have an easy time reaching value this week against the Falcons.
Alexander
Enunwa: Too cheap coming off a 19.4 point game. Brandon Marshall will draw coverage from the Colts only good cornerback, Vonte Davis.
Green-Beckham: The targets are there for Green-Beckham with Nelson Agholor out of the lineup. If Jordan Matthews is forced to miss Week 13, there could be even more looks to go around.
Julio Jones: Jones is my pick for most raw wide receiver points this week, but not necessarily the most points per dollar.
Mamula
Antonio Brown: The Steelers offense is leaning on Brown and Bell
OBJ: Expect a shootout in Steelers/Giants game
Tyreek Hill: If Maclin is out again, Hill is a must at his FD salary
Hindery
Crabtree: Crabtree is still the go-to guy around the end zone and when the Raiders need a clutch play. He is underpriced in a game that has shootout potential.
Cooks: After getting shutout last week, expect the Saints to make a special effort to get Cooks the ball this week to keep him happy. Aside from last week, Cooks has been a consistently strong performer at home.

The top value TEs this week are all priced about the same, so you basically have your pick of your favorite ones.
Travis Kelce has posted back to back 100 yard performances these last two weeks and he faces an Atlanta defense that has given up 2 receinvg TDs to opposing TEs in the last three weeks. Jeremy Maclin is still a big question mark, and he still isn’t back to full strength. Even if he plays this week, you can expect that Kelce will receiving a lot of attention again. His 6300 price tag is very reasonable given his level of involvement in the Kansas City passing game.
Jimmy Graham and Greg Olsen face off this week in Seattle. Olsen will have the tougher matchup against the stingy Seattle defense, but he’s still the biggest passing weapon that the Panthers have. If the Seahawks are vulnerable on defense, it might be at the TE position. Martellus Bennett posted 7 receptions for 102 yards on them back in week 10 and Zach Ertz had 6 receptions for 35 yards and a TD the following week. Even Tampa Bay’s Cameron Brate posted 4 receptions for 49 yards on them last week, so Olsen might be the key to Carolina’s success. On the opposite side of the ball, Jimmy Graham is finally hitting his stride. He has 264 yards receiving and 3 TDs over the last four games and he’s had 21 receptions on 24 targets during that same span. The Panthers have given up a TD to opposing TEs in each of the last two games, and surrendered 56 yards receiving to Clive Walford and Mychal Rivera last week. Olsen (6200) and Graham (6400) are both reasonably priced and should reach value when they face off this week.

Ladarius Green: Mike Tomlin says he'll be more involved and the Giants struggles against tight ends are well documented.

Graham: Has performed better at home. 4 TD in last 4 home games.
Kelce: Expect alot of points in the KC/ATL game.
Vernon Davis: If Jordan Reed is out, bump Vernon Davis up to the top option at TE.

This week’s kickers are about what you’d expect – at home, being the heavy favorite and (most) are close to minimum pricing.
Wil Lutz tops the charts. At just 4800, he and the Saints are a 6 point favorite with almost 30 points in implied team total against the Lions this week. It doesn’t hurt that he kicks in a dome either.
Mason Crosby may not be in a dome, but he’s still a solid option at home when the Packers face the Texans this week. Green Bay is also a heavy favorite, with almost a full TD spread and an implied total 26 points.
Josh Lambo is at home against Tampa Bay this week, and although the Chargers are only a 4 point favorite, they still have an implied team total of more than 25 points. At 4600, he’s still an attractive option.
Matt Bryant is expensive for a kicker with a salary of 5100. However, Bryant is rock solid at home and this week he and the Falcons are a 3.5 point favorite with an implied team total of more than 26 points. Not as cheap as the others, but still a great option if you have a few extra bucks.

Denver tops the charts for defenses this week, facing the turnover-prone Jacksonville Jaguars at home. Their 5000 price tag makes them a little less attractive than the other options, but they should still have a solid performance in Jacksonville this week.
New England is value-priced at just 4600 and they are at home, facing rookie Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams improved at bit on offense under Goff last week, but he’s never really faced a team like the Patriots and he’s going to see a lot of different looks and schemes this week. Look for the Patriots to pull out a few turnovers and sacks, making them an excellent option for that price.
Baltimore is one of the best defenses in the league, but at just 4600, it looks like FanDuel hasn’t realized it yet. They are at home this week against a streaking Miami team, but they are banged up on offense and could struggle against the Ravens.

Denver: Without Cleveland on the schedule this week, turn to the next best option: Blake Bortles turnovers.
Baltimore: Miami on the road in December. Major injuries on their offensive line.
