Waivers of the future will focus on making decisions that improve our odds of our dynasty championship. The back of your dynasty roster should be flexible, with preferences made for players you can use in your lineup during the season.
Quarterbacks
Among the quarterbacks, there are three types of waiver options: those moving up this week, veteran backups, and potential young players with future roles.
Moving Up this Week
The following players warrant waiver wire consideration this week.
- Teddy Bridgewater, MIA
Tua Tagovailoa has landed in the concussion protocol again after week 16. Tagovailoa had a scary incident that was not officially a concussion, then a concussion that held him out for weeks 5 and 6 before he returned to the lineup. Tagovailoa’s status for the remainder of the season is up in the air so there is a chance Teddy Bridgewater gets an extended opportunity to showcase himself before he becomes a free agent in the offseason. With a quality offense, Bridgewater is well-situated to audition for another job heading into free agency this offseason. He is worth a waiver stash, even if you do not anticipate starting him in your dynasty finals.
For other quarterbacks who could see a chance to start in 2023, you should check your waiver wire for:
- P.J. Walker, CAR
- Jacoby Brissett, CLE
- Cooper Rush, DAL
- Jordan Love, GB
- Sam Howell, WAS
