Week 1 Recap 1-4:
Last week was a tough way to start the season, and in hindsight they were pretty terrible picks instead of something like an injury or a tough break elsewhere. We are on to Week 2, but extremely difficult start and going to need a quick rebound.
Patrick Mahomes II Under 289.5 Passing Yards- Loss
Breece Hall over 31.5 Rushing Yards- Loss
Joe Mixon Over 69.5 Rushing Yards- Win
Mac Jones Over 231.5 Passing Yards- Loss
Mike Williams More Receiving Yards than Christian Kirk- Loss
Week 2 Plays
Christian McCaffrey Under 112.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
This one is genuinely confusing. Christian McCaffrey did not look great last week as he touched the ball only 14 times amassing just 57 yards. Then, this week, Matt Rhule said, ““He had a ton of usage the two years before I got here [in 2020]. The propensity after that much usage of being injured is really, really high.’’. This should indicate that there is some risk for McCaffrey that he is not going to get the 25 touch games that we had come to expect from McCaffrey any time soon. Let’s assume he has 18 touches this week, he will need 6.1 yards per touch to get to 111 yards. This seems like a difficult task against a Giants team that held Derrick Henry to just 82 yards last week.
