DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore, WR, Kyler Murray, QB, ARI - With Marquise Brown out for at least six weeks, Hopkins should get all of the targets he can handle. His return could also help the offense, as he has always been Murray’s favorite when the bullets are flying. A return to the huge target share he got in 2020 is possible. Moore gets a bump with Brown’s injury because it basically assures that Hopkins will stay outside, which keeps the slot open for Moore. With a banged-up backfield, this offense is going to run through Kyler Murray. His rushing stats have come back, and now there’s potential for his passing stats to follow.
Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, ATL, Elijah Mitchell, RB, SF - This pair of injured reserve backs are both still weeks away from a return, and that’s why you should try to buy now instead of waiting until their fantasy teams are looking forward to their imminent return. There’s a risk that their timelines to return are longer than originally expected, but both are perfectly aligned with quality running games. The Falcons are committed to the run and executing well. The 49ers seemed to lose some trust in Jeff Wilson last week against the Falcons. Unless the 49ers trade for Christian McCaffrey, Mitchell should become the starter when he returns.
Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, RB, DAL - Dak Prescott should be back this week or next, which should make this offense much, much more efficient than it was under Cooper Kupp. Elliott looked as good as he has since early 2021 last week, and we know what Pollard can do if you give him a runway. With a quality defense, this offense should be committing 35 touches to this duo a week, with a lot more touchdown opportunities than they had in the first six weeks.
WanDale Robinson, WR, NYG - Robinson was on the field for 15 snaps against the Ravens and posted a 3-37-1 stat line. His participation is surely going to increase, and his stats will track up with his snap count. He’s the kind of player who can have schemed touches on jet sweeps and screens, but he also showed the ability to run routes downfield and work the middle of the field despite being undersized. There’s a huge vacuum of quality in the Giants' passing game, and the offense is much more functional than we expected. Robinson has a lot more upside than many are contemplating.
Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater, QB, MIA - It feels like the Dolphins' passing game has been a letdown since the historic comeback against Baltimore, but a closer examination reveals that since then, the Dolphins faced Buffalo, the best defense in AFC, then Tagovailoa and Bridgewater combined for 303 passing yards and a score in Week 4, Skylar Thompson played in Week 5, and Bridgewater threw for 329 yards and two scores in Week 6. Bridgewater has never been known for lofty passing numbers.
D.J. Moore, WR, CAR - This is another notice that you may not get another window to buy Moore from a depressed dynasty team. Keep making offers if you’ve been coveting him. Just don’t expect any production this year.
