Wednesday Media Updates
***The NFL cleared over 100 players to come off COVID-reserve on Wednesday. In concert with the latest CDC isolation and quarantine recommendations, the NFL is now allowing players who are asymptomatic or recovering to return to team facilities and participate in practice and games. Fewer players will be inactive due to COVID this week and those at risk will be new symptomatic cases on Friday and Saturday. I'll include a current list of those on COVID-reserve in Saturday's Game Day Expectations feature.
***Lamar Jackson returned to throw light drills but looked extremely limited in practice video. He's doubtful to play.
***The Niners say Jimmy Garoppolo has a chance to play this week but a fully torn ligament in his thumb is likely to limit his grip strength enough to keep him out this week.
***Elijah Mitchell returned to drills with a slight limp. He's trending in a good direction but remains uncertain to play.
***DAndre Swift is expected to return this week after a full Wednesday practice.

Early week practice participation and playing expectations
The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team is limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
