WEDNESDAY MEDIA UPDATES

***Sean McVay said Todd Gurley's status would be determined in advance of game day. Gurley didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough but remains day-to-day. Thus far, little seems different than last week when Gurley and the Rams chose rest over a game the team needed to win to continue to control their ability to earn a first round playoff bye.

***James Conner fully practiced on Friday. The Steelers must win this weekend to have any chance at a playoff game. Conner is clearly trending toward playing and returning to his pre-injury role.

***Julio Jones played despite minimal practice and a questionable tag last week and will likely do the same this week. The Falcons will again evaluate him through pre-game warmups.

***Davante Adams did not practice with a knee injury but is expected to play.

***Odell Beckham missed practice again Wednesday. Pat Shurmur still gives Beckham a chance to play but he remains doubtful at best.

***Marcus Mariota told reporters he couldn't feel the right side of his body. If that's true, it's a more significant injury than anything he's faced earlier this season and would prevent him from any chance at playing effectively Sunday night. If his description is exaggerated, there's an outside chance he can be effective in a limited role this weekend. Prepare for him to be inactive.

EARly week PRACTICE PARTICIPATION & EARLY EXPECTATIONS

The Wednesday and Thursday practice participation reports are our first chance to see which players each NFL team are limiting in practice after the previous week's games. Players limited in mid-week practice aren't necessarily in danger of missing that week's game. But they all need to be watched closely.
