Fantasy Football Impact
Foreman, who turns 28 next month, spent last season with the Bears. He rushed for 425 yards with four touchdowns in nine games and recorded 11 receptions for 77 yards with a touchdown.
ESPN.com's Courtney Cronin reminded readers that Foreman generated most of his production from Weeks 6-11, totaling 87 carries for 365 yards (4.2 yards per carry) as well as seven catches for 47 yards and a combined four touchdowns.
After an injury forced him to sit out a Week 12 win against the Minnesota Vikings, Foreman only started two more games before becoming a healthy scratch in Weeks 16-18.
A third-round pick in the 2017 draft, Foreman's best season came in 2022 when he rushed for 914 yards and five touchdowns with the Panthers. He became the team's lead back after Christian McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers.
Foreman notably also rushed for 566 yards with three TDs for the Titans in 2021 and had 327 yards as a rookie for Houston.
While the sample size is small (eight games), ESPN's Jeremy Fowler pointed out that Foreman has produced 80 or more yards in every game with at least 16 carries since 2022.
In Cleveland, Foreman will join a committee that includes Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr as star running back Nick Chubb isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season after a devastating injury to his left knee in Week 2 last season.
Chubb underwent two surgeries: The first to repair the medial capsule, meniscus, and MCL in late September and the second to repair the ACL in November. The injured knee was the same one Chubb had reconstructed after tearing his MCL, PCL, and LCL while at Georgia in 2015.
Kareem Hunt, who led the Browns with nine rushing touchdowns last season, is a free agent.
Foreman is currently an outlier, showing up as RB90 on the FootballGuys 2024 Best Ball Rankings. Based on this signing, expect him to move into our regular redraft rankings, but he's unlikely to move ahead of Ford, who currently holds the RB46 spot on our 2024 Draft Rankings.
The Fantasy Football Fallout
The biggest takeaway here is that, as Footballguy Sigmund Bloom suggested, the Browns won't have to rush Chubb back with Foreman on the roster. Chubb still ranks highest among Cleveland ball carriers with an RB31 spot on our initial rankings. He could fall a bit here, but Chubb's not being ready in Week 1 is baked into that ranking. It's also worth noting that Chubb is currently going off as RB22 in early Underdog best-ball drafts; he's RB27 on BestBall 10s.
Again, Foreman is unlikely to move ahead of Ford, but the newcomer will likely be a limiting factor. Expect both Ford and Strong, currently our RB91 to fall slightly.
This move ensures that Hunt will not return.
Nothing changes in Chicago beyond what was covered when D'Andre Swift signed there with the Bears. The numbers for Swift, Khalil Herbert, and Roschon Johnson already reflect Foreman would move on.

Overview
D'Onta Foreman is signing with the Cleveland Browns. He'll join a committee with Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr as star running back Nick Chubb is coming off a severe knee injury and subsequent surgeries and isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season. While Foreman won't climb into the ranks of front-line fantasy prospects, he'll undoubtedly be a limiting factor for Ford and Strong as we head into the summer.
