A great source for evaluating players is comparing a player’s Dynasty valuation with the redraft market. To do this, you compared their Dynasty valuation with their Best Ball ADP. Players with higher Dynasty valuations than Best Ball ADPs are overvalued in the near term, while players with higher Best Ball ADPs than Dynasty values are undervalued. This is particularly true later in Dynasty drafts when longevity is less of a concern. This article focuses on running backs who are overvalued in Dynasty.

The running backs below are poor targets for win-now Dynasty teams.
Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos
Best Ball RB29 – Dynasty RB17
Javonte Williams has returned to participating in OTAs, a good sign of his progress after tearing his ACL and LCL in Week 4 last season. Denver brought in Samaje Perine, who is capable of high-level spot starts, as insurance for Williams. New head coach Sean Payton’s offenses were at the top of the league in running back points during his tenure as a head coach in New Orleans, so there is a high-level opportunity for a healthy Williams. Williams is overvalued in Dynasty compared to his Best Ball ADP but should be forgiven by the marketplace because of his injury recovery. If he delivers top-20 running back production this year, he has a chance to be a top-10 running back in 2024.
Breece Hall, New York Jets
Best Ball RB10 – Dynasty RB2
The market has treated Breece Hall’s knee injury radically differently than Williams’s. Hall has maintained a top-five running back cost in Dynasty, while the Best Ball market has Hall at RB10. There have been positive reports about his readiness, but his availability at the beginning of training camp will be one of the next key markers of his availability. Hall is ranked among the top two running backs in Dynasty formats, which is a high-risk proposition for a running back coming off an ACL injury.
Ken Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
Best Ball RB15 – Dynasty RB9
Ken Walker III is in a tough position in Dynasty formats. As a productive second-round NFL Draft pick, Walker has a great resume after his rookie season, but the team selected Zach Charbonnet with a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. There is only so far Walker can fall in Dynasty because the position has limited longevity, but Walker his RB15 price in Best Ball is a concerning trend. Walker is a good option to use as part of a package in trading for an elite player.
