Quarterbacks
Rank | Play | Opponent | Salary |
1 | Justin Fields | vs. Lions | $6,500 |
2 | Tua Tagovailoa | vs. Browns | $6,700 |
3 | Jared Goff | at Bears | $5,500 |
4 | Derek Carr | vs. Colts | $5,600 |
Justin Fields' fantasy upside has finally been unlocked. He broke the record for rushing yards in a game by a quarterback last week, running for 178 yards and 1 touchdown. Fields is averaging 12.25 rush attempts per game over his past four contests and gets to play at home against a Lions defense that ranks 21st in EPA/Play Allowed, 30th in Dropback EPA Allowed, and 30th in Success Rate.
Tua Tagovailoa ranks seventh in passing yards per game (282.9) and third in pass touchdowns per game (2.1) and leads a Dolphins offense that ranks fourth in EPA/Play, 14th in Success Rate, eighth in Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE), and 11th in Early Down Pass Frequency (EDPF). He plays at home in the game with the second-highest Over/Under (49.5) of the week against a Browns defense that ranks 26th in EPA/Play Allowed and 13th in Dropback EPA Allowed.
The Lions at Bears game has the third-highest Over/Under (48.5) of the week and Jared Goff has a great matchup against a Bears defense that ranks 30th in EPA/Play Allowed, 31st in Dropback EPA Allowed, and 27th in Success Rate. We expect Justin Fields to find plenty of success against the Lions' poor defense as well, creating a possibility for a high-scoring atmosphere in Chicago.
Jim Irsay is tilting and his recent actions have resulted in a new head coach straight off of the couch and an offensive coordinator that will be calling plays on Sunday for the first time in his life. Expect a bounce-back spot for the Raiders here and that includes their offense finding plenty of success. Derek Carr should end with a solid day at home priced at only $5,600 against a Colts defense that ranks 20th in EPA/Play Allowed, 22nd in Dropback EPA Allowed, and 26th in Success Rate.
Running Backs
Rank | Play | Opponent | Salary |
1 | Travis Etienne | at Chiefs | $7,100 |
2 | Derrick Henry | vs. Broncos | $8,300 |
3 | Nick Chubb | at Dolphins | $8,100 |
4 | Alvin Kamara | at Steelers | $7,400 |
5 | Jeff Wilson | vs. Browns | $5,500 |
Travis Etienne has gone absolutely bonkers in two games since James Robinson was traded. Over that stretch, Etienne has averaged 28.5 opportunities, 144 total yards, and 1.5 touchdowns. All of those averages would lead the NFL over the first nine weeks of the season. Etienne's massive workload is locked in against a Chiefs defense that only ranks 19th in EPA/Play Allowed, 11th in Rush EPA Allowed, and 19th in Success Rate as Jacksonville looks to play keep away from Patrick Mahomes II as much as possible.
