WEEK 14 PLAYS
D.J. Chark Under 60.5 Receiving Yards
There is not much to like about this Jacksonville offense at this point with the exception of Collin Johnson. Johnson has seemingly come out of nowhere the last two weeks and seen 14 targets from Brandon Allen. This is a situation where the backup quarterback and backup receiver are familiar with each other’s tendencies. Regarding Chark, the number is just too high, as he has topped 60 yards just once in his last seven games which was setup by a 73 yard reception. With Johnson being the deep threat right now in this offense, it seems like the Under here is an incredibly safe play.
Russell Gage Under 49.5 Receiving Yards
This is a scenario where most believe that with no Julio Jones that Russell Gage is going to step in and see additional volume in the passing game which simply has not been the case this season. Gage has been a much better receiver with Jones in the lineup than without him as he is only averaging 4.3 targets and 2.3 receptions in games without Jones, compared to games with Jones he is averaging 4.7 receptions and 7.1 targets.
Russell Wilson Under 286.5 Passing Yards
Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense just doesn’t seem to be clicking right now. Wilson has topped 286.5 just once in his last six games and are a team that typically plays down to their competition. Over the last three years, the Seahawks have won 7 games by 10 or more points, but what is amazing is that Russell Wilson has averaged just 202 yards passing in those games and has never topped 286.5 yards. Expect a high volume of rushing in this one based on past history.
Philip Rivers Over 274.5 Passing Yards
Pressure is everything in the NFL as we saw with Baker Mayfield last week in that if you can’t get to the quarterback, most quarterbacks are going to pick apart your defense. The good news for the Colts this week is that they are going up against a Raiders team that has just 15 sacks on the year (only the Titans and Bengals are worse). Also good for the Colts is that Philip Rivers is on a roll right now as he has topped 274.5 passing yards in four straight games and is now facing the Raiders who have allowed five quarterbacks to top 300 yards this season. Expect this game to be a high scoring affair with Rivers once again having a solid day as he looks to solidify his starting role in Indianapolis for next season.
Ezekiel Elliott Over 73.5 Rushing Yards
If there was ever a breakout game coming for Elliott, now would be the time. Facing a Bengals team that are allowing 5.0 yards-per-carry and have one of the weakest defensive lines in football. The issue for the Cowboys this season has largely been predicated on the offensive line as Zach Martin, La’el Collins, Tyron Smith are all injured and Travis Frederick retired. There is light at the end of the tunnel however, as the volume has seen an uptick for Elliott even in tough matchups against Philadelphia, Baltimore and Pittsburgh, as Elliott has topped 18 carries in four of his last five contests. Elliott has faced one of the most difficult schedules when it comes to matchups, and this should be one of the easiest matchups that he will face all season. Expect him to get close to 100 yards int his contest.
Check back each Sunday morning to see if any props are added.
Sunday Morning Update
Mike Glennon Over 269.5 Passing Yards
Mike Glennon is in a great spot this week facing a Titans defense that has struggled mightily as of late due to the lack of pass rush. The Titans have allowed 295 yards or more in four of their last five games and the only game that they did not was to Lamar Jackson. Glennon has his faults, but at the same time he is a quarterback who has been around the league long enough that if he has a clean pocket can make the right reads and throws to be successful.
Tom Brady Under 302.5 Passing Yards
With the news that Leonard Fournette is out, expect a heavy dose of Ronald Jones on the ground this week. The Vikings who were one of the worst secondaries in the league early on this season, have started to come together and play better as they have not allowed a 300 yard passer since Week 6. With this being a young secondary that is still building, Brady and company should have an easy time throwing, but expect this to be a lower scoring game this week with Minnesota trying to establish the run and slowing the game down.
