Scouting Report

Noah Whittington had a quiet start to his college career, garnering just 19 touches for 2.3 yards per touch as a freshman at Western Kentucky. As a sophomore, his workload and efficiency exploded, where he averaged 6.0 yards on 113 touches. He entered the transfer portal following that season, landing with Oregon. There, Whittington carved out a steady role for the next four seasons. 2023 is the lone blip in his tenure, where an early-season ACL tear ended his year. With Bucky Irving and Jordan James both out of the picture in 2025, Whittington logged his first season as the Ducks' leading rusher as a sixth-year player.

Whittington's biggest strength is in his first step, where he makes up for lack of size with violence and decisiveness. He doesn't struggle against bigger defenders because his low center of gravity and powerful legs keep him upright in congested areas. His vision is on display when the front side is blocked for him, and he'll occasionally recognize backside lanes for chunk plays. While Whittington shows utility as a receiving threat in the short areas of the field, he rarely runs routes more than a few yards downfield, working primarily as a checkdown option. Although small in stature, Whittington's versatility, especially as a kick returner, could help him find a role in the pros.

Rundown

Whittington is a small, experienced back who plays with strong will and above-average contact balance, giving him potential as a rotational back and kick returner.
