Scouting Report

Emmanuel Henderson Jr. is one of the 2026 draft's oddities. He committed to Alabama as the No. 2 running back overall in the class of 2022 after rushing for 3,445 yards and 52 touchdowns in his final two high school seasons. He spent three years in Tuscaloosa without recording a rush attempt. Alabama moved him to receiver to utilize his speed, though a foot injury sapped much of his potential. He worked as a depth receiver and kick returner in his final season before moving to Kansas. In one season with the Jayhawks, he led the team in receiving and served as the primary kick returner.

Henderson is an intriguing prospect. His 2025 tape looked to have recovered the explosion that limited him at Alabama. His receiving skills are still raw, though Kansas gave him ample opportunities at every depth. He showcased his speed in the vertical game and his running back background when given opportunities to create with the ball. Any team drafting him would need an intentional plan and patience with development, but late on Day 3, he has the ceiling to significantly outperform his draft position.

Rundown

Henderson was the RB2 in the 2022 class after a prolific high school career. A position switch and foot injury limited his early college years, but he broke out as an offensive weapon in one season at Kansas.
