Rest-Of-Season Fantasy Football Rankings: Week 1

Every week, Dave Kluge will assess the ever-changing fantasy football landscape by generating rest-of-season rankings and adding context to the biggest risers and fallers.

Dave Kluge's Rest-Of-Season Fantasy Football Rankings: Week 1 Dave Kluge Published 09/01/2025

Every week during this NFL season, a new series from Footballguys will dive into changing values in the fantasy football landscape, generating a fresh set of Rest-Of-Season Rankings and identifying key risers and fallers. While the primary use of these rankings will be to look forward, the purpose of this exercise will be to look back. To see whose value is changing the most from a week-to-week basis. To separate the meaningful moments from the fluff. To find hidden value. And to keep guardrails on breakaway hype trains.

As injuries, depth chart shakeups, and rookie breakouts impact rankings, player values will fluctuate. For major movers, I’ll provide write-ups with insight and actionable advice. Think of this series as your weekly check-in to instantly get up-to-speed on every fantasy-relevant player in a quick snapshot. This series can serve as your North Star for assessing the changing values that will impact your trade offers and waiver wire strategy.

The goal of this series is to provide more than just numbers. By pairing rankings with context, you should gain a clearer understanding of how and why player values are changing, and what’s essential and what’s not. In addition to this article, Dave Kluge and Jeff Bell will record a weekly episode of The Dynasty Football Show, highlighting the week’s biggest risers and fallers from this article.

Week 1 begins with a baseline set of rankings, offering a starting point before any regular-season action unfolds. You might notice that these rankings differ from our Consensus Rankings. Remember, these are just one staffer’s opinion. We’ll also offer in-season Rest-Of-Season Projections updated by Bob Henry. But let’s start by examining my 2025 Fantasy Football Draft Rankings, broken down by position, to provide us with a preseason baseline.
