Dynasty Roundtable: 4 Offseason Quarterback Fixes

Spala, Blaylock, Fahlsing, Kashuba, and Zacharias give a plan of attack for teams with quarterback issues.

Jeff Bell's Dynasty Roundtable: 4 Offseason Quarterback Fixes Jeff Bell Published 12/11/2025

As we hit the end of the fantasy season, our Dynasty thoughts naturally shift to offseason player movement. Multiple teams are dealing with difficult quarterback situations. We tapped Dynasty staffers David Zacharias, Josh Fahlsing, Corey Spala, Jeff Blaylock, and Mike Kashuba to find some solutions.

Fixing the New York Jets

Zacharias: The New York Jets signalled their commitment to a roster rebuild by trading away defensive stars Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. Now equipped with four projected top-48 picks in 2026 and three first-round picks in 2027, the Jets have the flexibility to address their need for a franchise quarterback creatively. In the short term, their mission is to lose the rest of their games. With the fourth-toughest remaining strength of schedule, this should be an easy task, especially since Justin Fields is out with knee soreness, and Tyrod Taylor left with a groin injury in the first quarter of the Jets' Week 14 game. UDFA Brady Cook is the next man up to captain the ship to a 3-14 finish.

Fernando Mendoza, Dante Moore, and Ty Simpson are widely considered 2026 first-round draft talents. But Moore has an eight-figure NIL package waiting for him at Oregon, and Simpson must decide if he wants another year of experience under Alabama's renowned quarterbacks coach, Ryan Grubb. If the 2-11 Raiders tank for Mendoza, and Moore, Simpson, and LaNorris Sellers remain in school, the Jets may well roll with Fields in 2026. My prediction, however: Simpson sees Moore, Sellers, Julian Sayin, and Arch Manning as potential competition in the 2027 NFL draft, and takes the first-round money from the Jets in 2026.
