Dynasty values can shift off the slightest bit of news. In the desert of the NFL offseason, a viral social media explosion can be all that is needed to create value shifts.
This creates windows to sell and to buy. Our staff discusses players with values worth capitalizing on right now.
Below, you'll see seven players our staff would trade away.

Dynasty Sell: Josh Jacobs, Green Bay
Hutchinson Brown - Now that he is a Green Bay Packer, plenty of dynasty managers are very excited for Josh Jacobs; I would be trying to capitalize on that and trade him away. While the offense is exciting, last year leaves me very concerned about his outlook. He was horribly ineffective with the football at almost every point last season and he's 26 years old with a lot of tread on the tires. Also, his new contract could easily lead to him being cut next off-season. If he struggles again this season, his dynasty value could tank to a point of no return.
Dynasty Sell: Justin Herbert, LA Chargers
Jason Wood - It’s tempting to pick an aging superstar, but those are low-hanging fruit as every experienced dynasty manager is looking to sell high on elite veterans once they cross the age-decline threshold. So, I’ll instead throw out Justin Herbert as a dynasty sell. While our staff collectively ranks him QB9 (which is still too high), industry-wide consensus puts him at QB6, giving you a short window to sell high. While I don’t question Herbert’s talent, the second Jim Harbaugh reunited with Greg Roman in Los Angeles, I knew Herbert’s days as an elite fantasy asset were likely over. The 49ers ranked 31st, 31st, 32nd, and 29th in pass attempts under Harbaugh. Michigan has the 117th-lowest pass rate out of 133 qualifying NCAA teams in their championship run. Greg Roman’s teams ranked 31st, 32nd, 32nd, 32nd, 9th, and 28th in his six years as an NFL offensive coordinator—Occam’s Razor.
Dynasty Sell: Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis
Ryan Weisse - This will be a super unpopular opinion, but the hype around Anthony Richardson makes him a perfect sell candidate. There is always injury risk on rushing quarterbacks, and Richardson only managed four games last season. There were also questions about his passing ability after a 54 percent completion rate in college, and he followed that up with 59 percent in his rookie season. For all of those red flags, I've seen his name mentioned as an MVP candidate? Sell that hype all day, every day.
Dynasty Sell: Tyreek Hill, Miami
Andy Hicks - Tyreek Hill has been phenomenal since joining the Dolphins in 2022. He has over 1700 yards in consecutive seasons, 119 receptions in both years, and 20 total touchdowns. Regression has to occur. Trade him while he has at least one more good season in him before the inevitable decline. Hill just turned 30 and has been carrying injuries often. He should command a hefty price. Next year, maybe not so much.
Dynasty Sell: Deebo Samuel Sr., San Francisco
Matt Montgomery - This is admittedly a year too late for optimum value, but he should still garner fair trade compensation. The 49ers are looking at potentially a "Last Dance" style season, and since they have expressed interest in keeping the duo of Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, I expect them to dominate the team target share. Due to this circumstance, Samuel will have a productive start, and if he stays healthy, he could be a sneaky WR2 who can still pop off for WR1 on any given week.
Dynasty Sell: Javonte Williams, Denver
Leo Paciga - This is painful to type, but it’s Javonte Williams for my dynasty sell. Yes, Williams bounced back from an injury-riddled 2022 season (ACL and LCL injuries) and played in all 16 games in 2023. Unfortunately, Williams averaged a career-low 3.6 yards per carry and just managed to finish as RB31, even with 47 receptions in PPR leagues. Denver’s RB room is also cloudy with Williams, Samaje Perine, rookie Audric Estimé, Jaleel McLaughlin, and UDFA speedster Blake Watson. Some dynasty managers view Williams as a bounce-back candidate with a full season under his belt and will overvalue a healthy offseason. The Broncos offense will take a step back this season, and Williams' Keep-Trade-Cut ranking of RB22 is a price point to capitalize on and sell.
Dynasty Sell: Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay
Jeff Bell - Wicks was a free square following his rookie drafts, sitting as low as WR122 on Keeptradecut.com last September. He was a favorite deep cut of mine following preparing the wide receiver section of the 2023 Footballguys Rookie Guide (get the 2024 version here). I am invested. And I am looking to cash out. His advanced analytical profile was very strong, placing him on top of the wide receiver ranks for man separation ability. The rub, despite the advanced metrics, the Packers' usage indicates Wicks is behind Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Jayden Reed. Oh, Bo Melton deserves mention. Malik Heath, potentially, as well. And there is the rub. The path of outcomes is Wicks passing multiple receivers to lock himself into a top-two target role, the room remaining full and production inconsistent, or he is a Day 3 receiver who experienced situational success in a limited sample. Two of those outcomes make a future second a very nice outcome for a player who costs nothing to acquire originally.
