Though we missed on four of our six call-outs last week, the two we hit were huge games. The misses, well, my heart was once again broken. I drank the water again and tried to stream Marcus Davenport, but the water was tainted. Mike Danna was incredibly close on more than one occasion but ended up a dud in the box score. David Onyemata did come away with four tackles but missed out on the pass-rushing potential. Jordan Phillips was always a dart throw, and we missed the dartboard completely.
Justin Madubuike and Arnold Ebiketie were massive hits. Madubuike came away with five tackles and two sacks. Ebikietie finally showed some pass-rushing prowess and converted it to two tackles and one-and-a-half sacks. There are plenty of teams on a BYE for Week 7. Here are the top IDL and Edge streaming matchups.
IDL and Edge Streaming Options
Edge, Randy Gregory, San Francisco 49ers
Matchup: Minnesota Vikings - Ranked 21st in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
This may be a homer pick, being a 49ers fan, but I am incredibly excited about the addition of Gregory. In his first action last week with the 49ers, Gregory amassed three tackles, two for a loss, a sack, and three pressures in just 34% of the team's snaps. Gregory is being used specifically for what he is best at: getting after the quarterback. This is easily the best defensive line he has been a part of, giving him plenty of freedom regarding blocking schemes.
The 49ers tack on the Vikings in Week 7. They have allowed 15 sacks on the season, ranking them in a tie for the 14th most. That may not seem like a great matchup. What it will provide is plenty of pass-rushing opportunities, though. The 49ers will look to get right after a crushing loss to the Browns. The Vikings defense is much worse than Cleveland's, and the 49ers should be able to move the offense. This, in turn, will force the Vikings to play keep up. They have attempted the most passes in the entire NFL this season, giving the 49ers pass rush plenty of pressure opportunities. Gregory should be productive in his second game with San Francisco.
Edge, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Matchup: Atlanta Falcons - Ranked 5th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
The Falcons' offensive line is not bad by any means, though the offensive scheme is conducive to allowing points to Edge defenders. They have allowed 19 sacks so far on the season, ranking them in a tie for 6th most in the NFL. This week will not get any easier when they face the Buccaneers.
Tryon-Shoyinka has quietly put together a strong season so far with 13 tackles and three sacks. He had his most productive game of the season in Week 6 where he dropped four tackles, a sack, and a pass defended. He has 13 pressures on the season and has graded out better in pass-rushing situations this season than he has in his entire career. I'm looking for the Buccaneers' pass rush to be very effective in Week 7. Tryon-Shoyinka should play a big part in that.
IDL, Devonte Wyatt, Green Bay Packers
Matchup: Denver Broncos - Ranked 16th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Wyatt is putting together a strong sophomore season in the NFL. He has 13 tackles and two and a half sacks on the season. Wyatt is seeing far more volume on the field this year, spiking his snap share from 23% as a rookie to 51% this season. His production weekly has been hit or miss, with seven tackles and all of his sacks coming in two games. Luckily, Week 7 provides a great matchup for him.
The Packers face the reeling Denver Broncos. They have allowed 19 sacks this season, ranking them in a tie for sixth most. Wyatt has provided 17 pressures in five games and will look to collapse the pocket on Russell Wilson, whose scrambling ability and pocket presence do not seem to be what it was in Seattle.
IDL, Bilal Nichols, Las Vegas Raiders
Matchup: Chicago Bears - Ranked 19th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Nichols has put together a pretty impressive four-game stretch for the Raiders. He has four or more tackles in three of the past four games while adding half of a sack, becoming a consistent presence in the center of the Raiders defense. Nichols plays ample volume as well, with a 54% snap share on a Raiders' defense that needs him on the field.
They play the Bears in Week 7, who have given up the third most sacks on the season with 25. Nichols may not have a ton of pass-rushing upside, but against a terrible offensive line that is likely starting a rookie backup quarterback, you could do much worse.

IDL and Edge Sleeper Options
Edge, Casey Toohill, Washington Commanders
Matchup: New York Giants - Ranked 30th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
This comes with a caveat. Toohill saw an uptick in usage during Week 6, with Montez Sweat going down with a thumb injury. The diagnosis for Sweat is a sprained thumb. It is too early to tell if Sweat will miss the Week 7 outing against the Giants, but even still, Toohill is worth the dart throw.
Toohill has only played on 215 of the team's defensive snaps, though he has still accrued three sacks on the season. The Giants offensive line has allowed 29 sacks this season. That is the second worst in the entire NFL. Even if Sweat plays this week, the idea that Toohill may still see increased opportunity and playing the Giants makes him a sneaky Week 7 play.
IDL, Calijah Kancey, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Matchup: Atlanta Falcons - Ranked 5th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
It feels like I am streaming two players each week against the Falcons. Well, this week will not change. Earlier, we said to steam Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. Now, we are shifting to the interior with Kancey. Kancey was an absolute freak at this year's scouting combine. So much so, that he was receiving Aaron Donald comparisons.
Kancey saw his first action in Week 6 since going down with a calf injury in Week 1. Boy, did he live up to the hype. Kancey racked up three tackles and a sack in a full game of action. He now faces off with the Falcons, who have been leaky at best in pass-protection. Kancey could see a similar stat line in Week 7.
Final Thoughts
When dropping names to stream, keep in mind that these are generally names that do not normally crack your starting lineup. With that said, we have been doing a very good job coming up with some quite productive options. As we approach the BYE weeks, these streaming options are going to be huge.
