Understanding the NFL's Injury Report
(per Dr. Bramel)
The injury report released by the NFL is two reports. The first is the Practice Participation report, which lists which injured players practiced and their participation level. It also includes players who rested or missed practice for non-injury-related reasons. The second is the Game Status Report, which gives the probability a player will play, i.e., Questionable, Doubtful, Out. The Practice Participation Report is released every day of the week (Monday through Saturday). The Game Status Report is released with the Friday participation report (Wednesday for Thursday games, Saturday for Monday games).
In this feature, I'll include the Game Status Listing and my expectations of their likelihood of playing.
If you are reading this article on Saturday, make sure you circle back on Sunday morning as more updates trickle in within the next 24 hours

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals | Knee | Questionable | Likely Inactive
Despite making the trip to Cleveland, Kyler Murray will not be starting for Arizona. Instead, rookie Clayton Tune is expected to be under center, per Adam Schefter. It sounds like Murray is close to starting, and Week 10 could be in play.
Although Murray won't be active this week, most fantasy managers want to know what to expect from the Cardinals' QB for the rest of this season. Nearly 30% of Murray's fantasy football points have come from rushing plays. Using a linear regression model for QBs who sustained a major lower-body injury the year prior, I have Murray projected for 50 rushing attempts at 4.2 yards per carry. For reference, those would be career lows for Murray. Despite this, I still believe that Murray could be a fringy top-12 QB, hovering in the 12-15 range in his position.
