Fantasy Football Championship week delivered no shortage of frustration, with injuries once again playing a decisive role in fantasy outcomes. Several key contributors were either limited or lost entirely, forcing managers to navigate uncertainty at the worst possible time. With the regular season officially coming to an end, here were the main injuries from Week 17.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
QB Josh Allen, Buffalo | Foot | Expected Active in Week 18
Josh Allen appeared limited by the foot injury he sustained last week. While Allen was near his season average in rushing volume with seven attempts on Sunday, he was clearly not his usual explosive or elusive self, showing less burst and lateral agility than normal.
Josh Allen just came out of the x-ray room after being evaluated for a few minutes. He walked out WITHOUT any protection on his foot and was just wearing socks. He told us after the game (before he was looked at) he was fine and his foot injury didn't impact him.

Although Allen has been adamant that his foot injury is not impacting his play, players typically don't undergo X-rays unless there is some level of concern. I have little doubt that Allen will play next week, but if this foot injury lingers, it could impact his overall production.
TE Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland | Groin | Likely Season-Ending
I was genuinely concerned about Harold Fannin Jr.'s fantasy outlook heading into Week 17 after he picked up a groin injury during practice. Ultimately, I was wrong… well, kind of.

Fannin did manage to find the end zone, but unfortunately, re-injured his groin on the scoring play. He finished the week with 11 PPR points, salvaging his fantasy day, but at the cost of further aggravating the injury.
With the Browns' season effectively over and Fannin aggravating his groin strain, I suspect his season is likely over as well.
