Introduction

Monkey Knife Fight is one of the fastest-growing daily fantasy sites. It offers a fun and unique product. There are no salary caps and no need for lineup builders. You do not have to compete against DFS pros. Instead, you simply find the combination of player props you are most confident in and pick more or less. Since each combination (two or more players) is playing in the same game, you can use correlation to your advantage. For example, if you assume that one starting quarterback throws for more yards than projected, the opposing quarterback is more likely to throw for more yards also. In this weekly article, we will count down the five best props of the week.

5: Thursday Night Special

Patrick Mahomes II LESS than 315.5 passing yards

Justin Herbert LESS than 289.5 passing yards

  • This is a correlation play where we can take advantage of boosted odds for the primetime game (3.5X) and either pick both quarterbacks for more or both quarterbacks for less. The choice here is less.
  • Both teams are still figuring out their attack without a top passing-game weapon. The Chargers will be without Keenan Allen, and the Chiefs are still adjusting to life after Tyreek Hill.
  • The Chiefs offense without Hill passed its first test with flying colors, but this Chargers defense is a whole different challenge. The Cardinals' strategy (blitzing over 50% of the dropbacks) was a disaster. The Chargers will take a more measured approach that will test Mahomes’ chemistry and timing with his new wide receivers in a way the Cardinals' man-heavy secondary did not.
  • These are also two much improved defenses with pass rushes that came out on fire in Week 1.
  • Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack combined for 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in Week 1 for the Chargers.
  • Meanwhile, rookie defensive end George Karlaftis looks like a major steal for the Chiefs after falling to pick number 30 in the draft.
