Disclaimer
These contests are intended to be fun as you’re watching the game. It’s incredibly difficult to get a real edge as there are so few options, and in MME contests, there are often many duplicate lineups. One play or one penalty can change the entire outcome of the game.
Game Strategy
The Chargers are somehow only 4.5-point favorites against this embarrassing version of the Indianapolis Colts team being coached by someone that was pulled off his couch mid-season. The Chargers can clinch a playoff spot with a win for the first time in the Justin Herbert era, so they'll be plenty motivated in this one. Make sure your lineups are Chargers heavy on Monday night.
INJURY REPORT
- Jonathan Taylor OUT - Upgrade Zack Moss and Deon Jackson
- Matt Ryan OUT - Upgrade Nick Foles
Captain Consideration:
Los Angeles Chargers
Quarterback
Justin Herbert - Captain/Flex
Justin Herbert finally has all of his offensive weapons back. He ranks third in passing yards per game (287.1) and leads a pass-heavy Chargers offense that ranks third in Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE) and second in Early Down Pass Frequency (EDPF). There are no weather concerns here as the game is being played in the dome in Indianapolis, and the matchup isn't scary. The Colts defense only ranks 15th in Dropback EPA Allowed and 23rd in Success Rate.
Running Back/Wide Receiver/Tight End
Austin Ekeler - Captain/Flex
Austin Ekeler is in a good spot to blow up here. He ranks eighth in opportunities per game (20), tenth in total yards per game (94.8), and first in touchdowns per game (1). The Chargers are 4.5-point favorites and Ekeler has a good matchup against a Colts defense that ranks 18th in Rush EPA Allowed and 23rd in Success Rate.
