IDP Dynasty Sleepers, Week 6

Darin Tietgen's IDP Dynasty Sleepers, Week 6 Darin Tietgen Published 10/11/2022

Linebackers

Tyrel Dodson (BUF): Dodson put up some numbers in Tremaine Edmund’s stead before, and last week he did it again, even though he was said to be sharing snaps with Terrel Bernard. Dodson was all over the field and can be viewed as a great handcuff to Edmunds.

Garret Wallow (HOU): There are a couple of veteran linebackers, namely Kamu Grugier-Hill and Christian Kirksey, who will likely not be on the squad next year as the Texans go with a youth movement. Wallow is just 23 and in his second season in the NFL. He’s got good size and fits the Texans’ defensive scheme well. A solid add-and-stash for those that may need a lottery ticket on their taxi squad.

Lorenzo Carter (ATL): The Falcons desperately need a consistent pass-rusher, and Carter is probably the best they have at this point. He’s worth a look in big-play formats if you have a bench slot open.

Defensive Linemen

Zach Allen (DT - ARI): Two weeks in a row with great production out of Allen. Bonus for those in leagues that separate DE/DT, as he’s listed as a defensive tackle at MyFantasyLeague. He already has five batted balls and a couple of sacks. The tackles are increasing, too.

AShawn Robinson (DE - LAR): If you want a high-floor tackler to plug in for bye weeks, you could certainly do worse here. Robinson usually chips in with both a few solos and few assists. The sack potential is there, too. He usually has a lot of room to operate with Aaron Donald commanding doubles.

Teair Tart (DT – TEN): Like Allen, Tart has been a pass-breakup machine. He has five on the season, too. He may not be a volume tackler, but for those in leagues that start defensive tackles, he’s worth a look. The big space-eater out of Florida International can just be put on your watchlist as the Titans are on bye this week.

Defensive Backs

Paulson Adebo (CB – NOS): Adebo is really putting up tackles and pass breakups opposite Marshon Lattimore. The remainder of the Saints’ schedule is favorable for Adebo, especially for those in leagues that start CB independent of DB.

Rayshawn Jenkins (S – JAC): If you need a high-floor tackler who will always get plenty of snaps for bye-week filler, Jenkins is a great add. He has 11 solos in the past two contests and usually chips in with a pass breakup every week to boot.

Tariq Woolen (CB – SEA): The Seahawks have found themselves a couple of good young cornerbacks in Woolen and Michael Jackson. Woolen has been filling up the box score and chipping in with four solos in each of the past two contests. Just a rookie, he’s certainly worthy of a taxi squad spot in leagues that start CB.
