It was a bit of a rough week streaming the defensive line matchups for Week 6. At the Edge position, Leonard Floyd and Travon Walker were the streamers of the week. Oddly enough, they finished with the exact same stat line. Unfortunately, it was not a good one. The two finished with four total tackles a piece, though only one solo tackle each. The weekly IDL streamers were Sebastian Joseph-Day and Osa Odighizuwa. Joseph-Day finished Week 6 with a lackluster two tackles, with one being solo. Though the Cowboys did create four sacks, they were pressure off the edge as Odighizuwa only registered one solo tackle on the day.
The Edge sleeper was the only hit of the week. Efe Obada was matched up with the Bears and he was fantastic. He once again outplayed James Smith-Williams in the absence of Chase Young. Obada produced four tackles (two solos), one tackle for a loss, a sack, and one pass defended. The IDL sleeper was Kevin Givens of the 49ers. It was yet again a swing and a miss on the week as he registered just a single solo tackle. They are some really nice matchups for Week 7, so hopefully, it plays out better. Here are the top Edge and IDL streaming options for Week 7.
Week 7 IDL and Edge Streaming Options
Edge Deatrich Wise Jr, New England Patriots
Matchup: Chicago Bears - Ranked 23rd in Matt Bitonti's Rankings
If you are not in on Deatrich Wise yet, than it is definitely time to be. Wise is IDP's version of a Davante Parker Year-six breakout. He has been quite pedestrian since his rookie season, though he has been on fire in 2022. His is averaging over four tackles per game, providing a strong tackle floor for an Edge defender while also tacking on five sacks in the first six games. Wise Jr. has truly added to his pass-rush arsenal with great ability to sell his rush as he does here.
Another example of the parallels between line play and "skill" position play. Check out Deatrich Wise Jr(91) selling the pass rush game with his entire body - eyes, shoulders, hips & feet. It's like a release move by a receiver. pic.twitter.com/ytCuKbSCxg

His snap share is massive, playing 84.67% of the team's defensive snaps this season. He has a stranglehold on the Edge spot across from Matt Judon. Wise Jr. takes on the Bears in Week 7. Their offensive line has been one of the worst of 2022. They are tied for 1st in sacks allowed with 23. Wise and Judon should have a menacing Week 7.
Edge Chandler Jones, Las Vegas Raiders
Matchup: Houston Texans - Ranked 12th in Matt Bitonti's RAnkings
Chandler Jones' play has dropped off severely since joining the Raiders. The good news is that he showed some signs of life before their bye week. In his Week 5 matchup, he accrued four tackles as well as four pressures, though could not hit home. He showcased his traditional pass-rush prowess and great ability to set the edge, which you can see here.

Jones has the luxury of playing across one of the league's premier pass-rushers in Maxx Crosby, who has racked up 22 pressures and six sacks in five games. This gives Jones a bit of breathing room, something he has rarely seen. Though the matchup with the Texans is not a no-brainer matchup to attack, Jones and Crosby will be fresh off a BYE. With the offense of the Texans still searching for its passing identity, the edge rushers could have a great day.
