Buy Low

Devin Singletary (RB-BUF) - Singletary will be a resident of the buy low column for as long as his value languishes. James Cook’s work all came in garbage time, so he’s not the threat to Singletary that last week’s box score seems to indicate. The Bills will need to run more as the season goes on. Eventually, defenses will lighten boxes enough to slow down Josh Allen’s pinpoint passing that the Bills will have no choice but to turn to Singletary. When they do, he always comes through for fantasy teams. Be patient.

Raheem Mostert (RB-MIA) - Yes, Mostert can’t stay healthy, but he’s healthy right now, and he should be facing defenses that are on their heels and selling out to contain the Dolphins deep passing game. We know Mostert is productive when he starts and finishes a game, and now he is set up to be able to break off chunk gains in a system he is very familiar with.

Mike Gesicki (TE-MIA) - Gesicki’s touchdown was a thing of beauty that Dwight Clark smiling somewhere up above. He will gain trust from Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel alike when it comes to red zone targets. Gesicki will also be the least of opposing pass defense worries with Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill running circles around them. If defenses leave Gesicki one-on-one vs. linebackers and safeties, the big plays will come sooner than later.

Darnell Mooney (WR-CHI) - No one has had more miserable offensive conditions to operate under than Mooney, but he won’t be kept down for much longer. Remember, he put a 1,000 yards season last year with a greener Justin Fields at the helm and Matt Nagy calling the shots on offense. The matchup vs. the Texans should be manageable, and the Bears running game got in a groove Sunday night, which should set up play-action deep shots to Mooney.

Austin Ekeler (RB-LAC) - Ekeler has been disappointing, but his usage is the main reason, not any dropoff in his ability or the quality of his offense. The Chargers will need to highlight the short passing game while Justin Herbert is nursing a rib injury, which should keep his PPR floor high. The ceiling games will come after trying Sony Michel, and Joshua Kelley in the red zone has been a disaster. Ekeler was effective there last year, and the team should turn to him again by necessity.
