Introduction
Monkey Knife Fight is one of the fastest-growing daily fantasy sites and offers a unique product that is a lot of fun. There are no salary caps and you do not have to compete against DFS pros. Instead, you simply find the combination of player props you are most confident in and pick more or less. Since each combination (two or more players) are playing in the same game, we can use correlation to our advantage. For example, if we know that one starting quarterback throws for more yards than projected, the opposing quarterback is more likely to throw for more yards also.
In this weekly article, we will count down the five best props of the week, saving the best for last.
Looking back at last week
Last Week: +11.5 Units
Overall Season (+13 units)
Week 9 was our best week of the season, hitting on 9-of-10 props. The lone miss was due to an early injury.
Hits
- Our split ticket on Thursday night came through. Davante Adams (-3.5) had nine more receptions than Trent Taylor. We went with San Francisco on the other half of our prop and Nick Mullens (+70.5) threw for only 14 yards less than Aaron Rodgers.
- Our Buffalo stack came through. Josh Allen (+20.5) threw for 405 yards, which was 25 more than Russell Wilson. Wide receiver was closer but Stefon Diggs (-5.5) had 10 more receiving yards (118) than DK Metcalf (108).
- We had D.J. Chark over 12.5 fantasy points, which he surpassed in the first minute of the game. Chark had 27.6 points total. Will Fuller (21) also went over his 15.5 fantasy point total.
- We went with unders on Tom Brady (297.5 passing yards) and Drew Brees (283.5 passing yards). Neither got close, throwing for 209 and 222 yards, respectively.
Misses
- Our only miss of the week was Justin Jackson over 13.5 fantasy points but we can chalk that up to bad luck. Jackson suffered a fluky injury on the first play of the game. We hit on the under for Darren Waller.
If there is a more snake-bitten talent in the NFL than Justin Jackson, it’s a short list. #Chargers pic.twitter.com/JGnH5PE86f
