Update 3/10/22: Baseball is back. But our friends in the Fantasy Baseball Industry still need your help. I wrote this a few days ago and it's just as applicable now. Please help if you can.
It looks NFL Football is my favorite sport. You maybe knew that.
What you may not know is I started off as a baseball guy. It was my way into this goofy and fantastic Fantasy Sports hobby.
I created Value-Based Drafting. This summer, those concepts and algorithms our Footballguys subscribers will use weighing Cooper Kupp against Najee Harris were born from the days when I was weighing Ricky Henderson against Jose Canseco.
So I'm indebted to baseball. It's where I grew up in fantasy sports. And it led me eventually to our small business of Footballguys.
If you haven't heard, baseball Owners are arguing with the Players.
Don't get me started on billionaires arguing with millionaires. Sit your butts down and lock the door and everyone stops being so ####### greedy and don't come out until you get this done. Stop it with the yachts and pensions and pitch clocks. We're talking about a kid in the bleachers on a summer afternoon in Wrigley or a Crab Cake sandwich in Oriole Park or the crack of the bat in October when it's too cold for baseball but your team's in the hunt. It's about Bull Durham and Major League and Field of Dreams. Get this settled and get on with it.
In the meantime, there are small businesses that serve the Fantasy Baseball hobby, and they obviously need help.
So I'm asking you to join me in helping them.
