Scouting Report

Jacob Clark took the path less traveled in his college football experience. A three-star recruit out of high school in 2019, Clark committed to Minnesota but didn't play meaningful snaps until he transferred to Missouri State, where he began as the backup in 2022. In 2023, he looked primed to be the starter, but suffered a season-ending injury after just four games. After five years of waiting and injuries, he was finally the starter for 2024 and 2025, and is the Missouri State record holder for yards and touchdowns in a season. Clark was a participant in the American Bowl All-Star event.

Clark is a big-game hunter at quarterback. He likes to take deep shots down the field, and they often work out for him against a lower level of competition. He has the flexibility to flip his hips when rolling to his left to get velocity behind the ball, and often fools defenders with a nifty play-action fake. His arm strength is good, not great, but he will try to make great throws anyway, leading to turnovers. He was big, strong, and mobile enough to get away with some bad habits in the pocket and in his progressions in college.

Rundown

Clark is a toolsy, small-school prospect who will look to make a team as their third quarterback, possibly as a project.
