As we race toward August, Footballguys.com will examine one team per weekday with our quick-hitting Team Sleepers feature. These players might not be deep sleepers, but we will be highlighting players our staff thinks will surprise this year and outperform their average draft position (ADP).

Reasons RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. Could Be a Sleeper

  • Jason Wood: Tracy was revelatory last year, given the horrific supporting conditions, and should be viewed as a compelling every-week starter with upside. But drafters are treating him like the 1b to Cam Skattebo's 1a.
  • Jeff Haseley: People are enamored with Cam Skattebo and forgetting about what Tracy did last year and what he brings to the table.
  • Phil Alexander: The Giants offense is starved for playmakers outside of Malik Nabers and can't afford to take Tracy's explosiveness off the field in favor of Cam Skattebo's grit.
  • David Zacharias: Rookie Skattebo lurks, but Tracy is the better pass-catcher, and the Giants will need to throw.
  • Craig Lakins: With the arrival of Cam Skattebo, Tracy's perceived value has fallen. After netting more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage in 2024, his role should be secure and he's being drafted too low for the upcoming season.
