Reasons WR Rashod Bateman Could Be a Sleeper

  • Jason Wood: I'm not advocating for Bateman to be a starting-caliber player, but he's going in the late WR5 range and has historically finished 10-15 spots higher. He's a boom/bust player contingent on game script and touchdowns, but value is value.
  • Ben Cummins: He's a former first-round pick and a very good athlete. He's a big play machine in one of the best offenses in the NFL.
  • Colton Dodgson: The team extended him right after his most productive pro season. The touchdown spike is concerning, but he did emerge as one of the league's most productive deep threats.
  • Julia Papworth: Going off the board in the twelfth round, it is easy to take a shot on the WR34 from last season. He had 72 targets, and if something happens to Zay Flowers, Bateman's usage will skyrocket.
  • Jeff Bell: Bateman broke out in 2024, scoring nine touchdowns and finishing as a fantasy WR3. At WR58 in Footballguys' ADP, he has plenty of room to outperform that value.
