Reasons WR Garrett Wilson Could Be a Bust
- Maurile Tremblay: Round-3 price needs a top-10 finish that Fields' streaky arm and the Jets' likely low pass volume make hard to achieve.
- Jeff Haseley: Justin Fields' past history of failing to put up big games with his arm concerns me for any hope of Wilson being worth his draft position.
- Meng Song: The college teammate narrative is overblown. Wilson will have nice games, but I wouldn't want to rely on him as an every-week WR2.
- Andy Hicks: Wilson and Justin Fields may have their moments, but the high price to get Wilson makes the price prohibitive for expected returns.
- Julia Papworth: Wilson has survived on pure volume during his time in the league, and Fields has never been incredibly successful through the air, with only one season of over 2500 passing yards. Wilson's success depends on the success of his college buddy Fields, and at Wilson's current ADP, that is not a bet I want to take.
- Craig Lakins: I'd be more comfortable with Wilson if he had an ADP in the 4th or 5th round. He's the only wideout that opposing defenses will need to key in on.
