Reasons RB Cam Skattebo Could Be a Bust

  • Jason Wood: Skattebo is the classic collegiate star who likely struggles to find a major role in the pros, but is going ahead of teammate Tyrone Tracy Jr. in drafts.
  • Phil Alexander: Tough, physical, and passionate are traits that matter more in college than the pros when you're a slow running back. This is Tracy's job until proven otherwise.
  • Jeff Blaylock: He's being drafted just behind incumbent starter Tyrone Tracy Jr.., but is unlikely to provide that value. Skattebo is neither fast nor nimble, and he'll have many defenders joining him in the backfield thanks to the offensive line.
  • Craig Lakins: I'm a big fan of Skattebo's game, but his NFL landing spot doesn't set him up for immediate success. He may be their goal-line back, but how many goal-line opportunities do we expect this offense to get?
  • Hutchinson Brown: He will likely split work with the very talented Tyrone Tracy Jr. and be an early down grinder on a mediocre at best offense.
