Busts on the Las Vegas Raiders

Reasons TE Brock Bowers Could Be a Bust

  • Jason Wood: I have no issue with Brock Bowers being ranked as the No. 1 tight end, but his overall ADP is on the fringes of the first round. That's a price too high, particularly in terms of the opportunity cost of missing out on an elite running back or wide receiver.
  • Maurile Tremblay: ADP demands another 150-target season, but the run balance in a Jeanty-centric offense makes that improbable.
  • Phil Alexander: Not sold Bowers separates enough from McBride and Kittle to justify passing on running backs and wide receivers who can anchor your roster.
  • Andy Hicks: The second season of Sam LaPorta should give pause to Bowers' high expectations. Add in a head coach who has rarely used the position in Seattle.
  • Jeff Blaylock: Expectations are sky high for another unicorn season, which he'll need in order to pay off first-round fantasy draft capital. Let's not forget that the only other rookie TE with a 1,000-yard receiving season in the Super Bowl era was Kyle Pitts.
