Undervalued Players: The 1 Cornerback to Target

Undervalued players can turn good rosters into league-winners. The Footballguys staff finds a cornerback who is undervalued.

Footballguys Staff's Undervalued Players: The 1 Cornerback to Target Footballguys Staff Published 06/04/2024

A fantasy draft is all about obtaining the most value with each selection. Value is available throughout a draft; grabbing it is one of the most important keys to a successful fantasy team. To point out this value, we asked our staff to identify players available in the top half of your draft who should outperform their draft position. Thanks to the folks at TheIDPShow.com for the ADP.

Here is the player who received the most votes:

And here are the reasons why.

Kenny Moore II, Indianapolis

Gary Davenport: I will freely admit that I almost always wait until the end of the draft to take a cornerback in IDP leagues that require them and just stream the position based on matchups. But if Kenny Moore II of the Colts is available outside the top five at the position on draft day, I'd be sorely tempted to reconsider that strategy. In three of the past four seasons, Moore has surpassed 80 total tackles, including 93 stops a year ago and 102 (with 82 solos) in 2021. That kind of tackle consistency isn't easy to come by at cornerback.

Tripp Brebner: The Colts signed Kenny Moore II to a new 3-year, $30 million contract, the largest in league history for a slot cornerback. In 2021, Moore finished as fantasy football's top overall cornerback. That followed a top-three season. Since then, he's been pressed into service as a boundary cornerback due to injuries alongside him. As long as the Colts maintain adequate depth outside, Moore is a reasonable bet to repeat his 2021 heroics.
