Reasons Ty Chandler Could Be a Sleeper
- Ben Cummins: Chandler earned a role in 2024 with his play last season. He’s athletic and has major juice.
- Julia Papworth: Backing up almost 30-year-old Aaron Jones, who has been known to miss time due to injury, Chandler is a much better value for money, going in the 13th round as opposed to the sixth for Jones.
- Bob Harris: Ty Chandler heads into the season backing up Aaron Jones. The former Packer, who will turn 30 during the 2024 season, has battled injuries in recent years, playing just 11 games in 2023. Chandler impressed in limited opportunities last season and is an affordable insurance policy in Round 12.
- Justin Howe: Chandler was dynamic down the 2023 stretch, and coaches have already talked this up as a timeshare. Aaron Jones draws the headlines, but he's pricey (RB18), while Chandler currently comes as RB44.
- Hutchinson Brown: While I think Aaron Jones could thrive, if the near 30-year-old running back struggles like he did this past season with multiple injuries, Chandler could see a ton of opportunity this season. He did reasonably well last year when given the chance.
- Corey Spala: Chandler would have the best bet to be a sleeper at RB44 and the 141st overall selection. Minnesota had two running backs over 100 carries in 2023, there may be a role for Chandler to retain in 2024.
