Hi Folks,

We do a ton of insightful, thoughtful, and serious features here at Footballguys with smart people thinking deeply for you.

This is not one of those features.

This is Random Shots, and it's a few pages of me sharing all the random goofiness from this week. With maybe a music note and sometimes a "soap box" wrap at the end.

Here's to Football.

J

It's a beautiful game.

"Tyreek Hill is amazing!"

Dan Marino says, "Hold my beer."

Thanks to Bob Harris for that one.

J.J. Watt knows.

Brush off the mistakes. Work to fix it. Get back out there.

Brothers.

With that said...

One more reason not to "ice" the kicker.

Browns Fans are built different.

I get a good amount of questions from people asking about how they should "build a brand" in the fantasy football space. My advice is to listen to Marshawn Lynch here. (NSFW language, but you probably knew that.)

Thanks to Sigmund Bloom for that one.

 Mike Tomlin was not amused.

Here's how it feels to be a Giants Fan today.

You're "hopeful" Tommy DeVito can be healthy enough to play.

It's a cruel game sometimes.

So much for my theory that Ohio State would take it easy on Indiana.

Send this to your favorite Cowboys fan.

I'm just going to drop this one right here...

Old Man can still sling it, though.

I've given up caring about the College Football Playoffs and the beauty pageant rankings. But this is fun.

"98 yards with my boys".

And the rivalry stuff is fun.

The field storming business is getting wild.

It just feels wrong for Air Force to be the first team to win with zero passing yards.

I miss Tom Landry.

And also a tip of the hat to NFL Films and to Ed and Steve Sabol. Their impact with their film and art portraying the game so beautifully is incredible.

Random Shots QB1 Jameis Winston is back.

Ok then.

Ouch.

Aaron Jones' 4-year-old son is tough on him.

The Colt's mascot chose continuity of employment here.

Thanks to Clayton Gray for that one.

Things change pretty fast around here...

This one hit a little too close to home.

If you, like me, have Travis Kelce on your team, this feels accurate.

Caleb Williams threw his first touchdown pass in five games Sunday.

Thankful to see he's back on the Fast Track to Canton. Never a doubt.

If you'd told Dallas fans in September they'd be cheering for Cooper Rush throwing a beautiful pass to Luke Schoonmaker to beat a good Washington team in Week 12, I'm not sure they would have believed you.

If I owned the Bears, I'd make this the permanent uniform.

I've said for years the officials will have helmets at some point. But wasn't expecting it to be for this reason.

Thanks to Jake Young and Hunter Hall for that one.

Baker Mayfield out there leading blocks.

KaVontae Turpin hit the Madden spin button.

Music Note this week is from the Eagles.

I'm not an Eagles super fan. But I grew up with them. And songs like Seven Bridges Road hold a nostalgic and warm spot in my heart. And Thanksgiving time pulls that kind of stuff up for me.

So good.

Even better is the backstage warmup.

Another one that hit a little close to home.

One more reason to love Puka Nacua.

The scrambling for spots in the College Football Playoffs is wild. And they're not done yet.

Caleb Williams, after losing to the Vikings Sunday, praised Minnesota coach Kevin O'Connell while throwing shade at Sam Darnold.

Williams said of O'Connell he has "Sam Darnold even, out there balling. He has been a great coach."

Ok.

"Even" Sam Darnold.

To be fair, the memes are good.

I don't know who did this. But I'm glad they did.

More rivalry stuff.

I dodged Saquon Barkley this week. But lots of people weren't as lucky.

Tyreek Hill's response was on point.

Thanks to Clayton Gray for that one.

Wrapping with this one.

The Holidays are especially hard for people who've lost someone.

You've probably seen Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, but I did not know this story. Steve Martin talks about the scene cut from John Candy's character and it's powerful.

This time of year can be hard. And it can suck.

Hit me up with an email if you want to vent. Rock on.

I'm thankful for you being on this goofy ride with us. This column is fun to put together each week, but it's way more fun knowing we're in this together. That you likely saw some of these things too, and we could share a laugh. This Community is special, and I'm thankful and grateful for you.

And thanks to Footballguys Keith Overton, Jake Bryant, Bob Harris, Hunter Hall, Jake Young, Sigmund Bloom, and Clayton Gray for the help. If you've got a Random Shot of your own, email me at bryant@footballguys.com.

I hope you make the most of whatever you're doing in your life. Love your neighbor and stick together.

Peace and Grace to you.

J
