  • DALLAS (vs Washington) – Commanders offense generates 55.9 tackle opps/game (31 rush/21.5 pass)
  • MINNESOTA (at Detroit) – Lions offense generates 55.7 tackle opps/game (30 rush/23 pass)

  • CINCINNATI (at Pittsburgh) – Steelers offense generates 53.2 tackle opps/game (31 rush/19 pass)

In contrast, these matchups look LEAST FAVORABLE from a tackling perspective (with some notes if the matchup is particularly unfavorable for run vs pass):

You may also want some help picking out matchups for pass rushers. These are some that look MOST FAVORABLE from a pass-rush perspective:

  • GREEN BAY (vs Chicago) – Bears offense allowing 4.0 sacks/game and 6.8 QB hits/game
  • BALTIMORE (vs Cleveland) – Browns offense allowing 3.9 sacks/game and 9.8 QB hits/game
  • TENNESSEE (vs Houston) – Texans offense allowing 3.3 sacks/game and 6.8 QB hits/game
  • LA RAMS (vs Seattle) – Seahawks offense allowing 3.3 sacks/game and 7.1 QB hits/game

In contrast, here are some matchups that look LEAST FAVORABLE from a pass-rush perspective:

  • NEW ENGLAND (vs Buffalo) – Bills offense allowing .9 sacks/game and 3.1 QB hits/game
  • CHICAGO (at Green Bay) – Packers offense allowing 1.2 sacks/game and 4.2 QB hits/game
  • KANSAS CITY (at Denver) – Broncos offense allowing 1.5 sacks/game and 3.5 QB hits/game
  • CLEVELAND (at Baltimore) – Ravens offense allowing 1.6 sacks/game and 3.3 QB hits/game

STAT CREW GRADES

This tab keeps track of tendencies for each stat crew. Each home stadium typically has its own group of stat keepers responsible for assigning tackle details (solo vs solo/assist vs assist/assist) on each play. The table at the top keeps track of Tackles vs Opportunity and compares total tackles awarded (solos plus assists) divided by tackle opportunities (rush attempts plus pass completions plus sacks). This gives you an idea of which crews tend to be more generous or less generous in comparison to everybody else.

Home STADIUMS with MOST GENEROUS stat crews this week include:

  • Arizona (vs San Francisco) - 1.286 tackles/opp
  • Indianapolis (vs Jacksonville) - 1.275 tackles/opp
  • New England (vs Buffalo) - 1.275 tackles/opp
  • Pittsburgh (vs Cincinnati) - 1.259 tackles/opp
  • LA Rams (vs Seattle) - 1.257 tackles/opp

Home STADIUMS with LEAST GENEROUS stat crews this week include:

  • Tampa Bay (vs New Orleans) - 1.187 tackles/opp
  • Dallas (vs Washington) - 1.190 tackles/opp
  • Baltimore (vs Cleveland) - 1.195 tackles/opp

Some leagues may place a premium on SOLO TACKLES and award more points for them than two assisted tackles. In that case, you'd want to focus on matchups played in STADIUMS that award a high percentage of solo tackles. This week, that would include:

  • Tennessee (vs Houston) - 79.0% solos
  • NY Jets (vs Miami) - 76.9% solos
  • Green Bay (vs Chicago) - 76.3% solos
  • Las Vegas (LA Chargers) - 76.3% solos

In other cases, you may not want to differentiate between a solo or an assist and want to just focus on total tackles. STADIUMS this week that tend to award the highest percentage of ASSISTS per opportunity are:

  • Arizona (vs San Francisco) -57.5% assists
  • Indianapolis (vs Jacksonville) - 54.3% assists
  • New England (vs Buffalo) - 54.2% assists
  • LA Rams (vs Seattle) - 52.9% assists
  • Pittsburgh (vs Cincinnati) - 52.0% assists

Hopefully this helps give you some useful information. Please reach out with any questions or feedback.
