When I look at matchups for this week, these are the matchups that look MOST FAVORABLE from a tackling perspective (with some notes if the matchup is particularly unfavorable for run vs pass):

• CHICAGO (vs Detroit) – Lions offense generates 55.4 tackle opps/game (30 rush/23 pass)
• PHILADELPHIA (at Washington) – Commanders offense generates 55.3 tackle opps/game (31 rush/21 pass)
• WASHINGTON (vs Philadelphia) – Eagles offense generates 54.7 tackle opps/game (34 rush/18 pass)
• HOUSTON (at Kansas City) – Chiefs offense generates 53.1 tackle opps/game (26.5 rush/24 pass)
• DALLAS (vs Tampa Bay) – Cowboys offense generates 53.0 tackles opps/game (27 rush/23.5 pass)
• SAN FRANCISCO (at Miami) – Dolphins offense generates 53.0 tackle opps/game (26 rush/25 pass)

In contrast, these matchups look LEAST FAVORABLE from a tackling perspective (with some notes if the matchup is particularly unfavorable for run vs pass):

• TENNESSEE (at Indianapolis) – Colts offense generates 44.9 tackle opps/game (26 rush/17 pass)
• LAS VEGAS (vs Jacksonville) – Jaguars offense generates 45.1 tackle opps/game (23 rush/20 pass)
• ARIZONA (at Carolina) – Panthers offense generates 45.3 tackle opps/game (23 rush/20 pass)
• LA RAMS (at NY Jets) – Jets offense generates 45.9 tackle opps/game (21 rush/22 pass)
• DENVER (at LA Chargers) – Chargers offense generates 46.2 tackle opps/game (25 rush/18.5 pass)

You may also want some help picking out matchups for pass rushers. These are some that look MOST FAVORABLE from a pass-rush perspective:

• CINCINNATI (vs Cleveland) – Browns offense allowing 4.1 sacks/game and 10.0 QB hits/game
• DETROIT (at Chicago) – Bears offense allowing 3.9 sacks/game and 6.7 QB hits/game
• MINNESOTA (at Seattle) – Seahawks offense allowing 3.4 sacks/game and 7.1 QB hits/game
• JACKSONVILLE (at Las Vegas) – Raiders offense allowing 3.4 sacks/game and 6.9 QB hits/game
• INDIANAPOLIS (vs Tennessee) – Titans offense allowing 3.3 sacks/game and 7.1 QB hits/game
• KANSAS CITY (vs Houston) – Texans offense allowing 3.3 sacks/game and 6.4 QB hits/game

In contrast, here are some matchups that look LEAST FAVORABLE from a pass-rush perspective:

• NEW ENGLAND (at Buffalo) – Bills offense allowing .9 sacks/game and 3.1 QB hits/game
• NEW ORLEANS (at Green Bay) – Packers offense allowing 1.1 sacks/game and 4.0 QB hits/game
• LA CHARGERS (vs Denver) – Broncos offense allowing 1.4 sacks/game and 3.4 QB hits/game
• PITTSBURGH (at Baltimore) – Ravens offense allowing 1.6 sacks/game and 3.4 QB hits/game

STAT CREW GRADES

This tab keeps track of tendencies for each stat crew. Each home stadium typically has its own group of stat keepers responsible for assigning tackle details (solo vs solo/assist vs assist/assist) on each play. The table at the top keeps track of Tackles vs Opportunity and compares total tackles awarded (solos plus assists) divided by tackle opportunities (rush attempts plus pass completions plus sacks). This gives you an idea of which crews tend to be more generous or less generous in comparison to everybody else.

Home STADIUMS with MOST GENEROUS stat crews this week include:

• Indianapolis (vs Tennessee) – 1.285 tackles/opp
• Chicago (vs Detroit) – 1.248 tackles/opp
• Atlanta (vs NY Giants) – 1.242 tackles/opp
• Washington (vs Philadelphia) – 1.239 tackles/opp

Home STADIUMS with LEAST GENEROUS stat crews this week include:

• Baltimore (vs Pittsburgh) – 1.186 tackles/opp
• Dallas (vs Tampa Bay) – 1.191 tackles/opp
• LA Chargers (vs Denver) – 1.194 tackles/opp

Some leagues may place a premium on SOLO TACKLES and award more points for them than two assisted tackles. In that case, you'd want to focus on matchups played in STADIUMS that award a high percentage of solo tackles. This week, that would include:

• NY Jets (vs LA Rams) – 78.1% solos
• Green Bay (vs New Orleans) – 77.1% solos
• Seattle (vs Minnesota) – 76.6% solos
• Atlanta (vs NY Giants) – 76.5% solos
• Las Vegas (vs Jacksonville) – 76.3% solos
• Chicago (vs Detroit) – 76.0% solos

In other cases, you may not want to differentiate between a solo or an assist and want to just focus on total tackles. STADIUMS this week that tend to award the highest percentage of ASSISTS per opportunity are:

• Indianapolis (vs Tennessee) – 53.6% assists
• Cincinnati (vs Cleveland) – 51.7% assists
• Carolina (vs Arizona) – 50.2% assists
