Let's take a quick look at a few linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs who are either good grab-and-stash types or those you should target in trades. I hope you enjoy the article and that it opens your eyes to some of the gems on your leagues' waiver wires!

Dynasty Sleeper: LB Raekwon McMillan, New England

Somehow, McMillan is still just 27 years old, so there is plenty of tread left on the tires from a longer-term perspective.  He's now the main run-stuffer on the inside of the Patriot line, replacing Ja'Whaun Bentley, who has a torn pectoral.

McMillan is not going to stuff the stat sheet; let's get that out of the way.  But he plays a lot like Bentley and will get you 5-6 solos and 3 assists pretty much every game, regardless of the opposing offense's game plan. If you need a safe LB3 in pretty much all formats, he's your guy.

Dynasty Sleeper: LB Luke Masterson, Las Vegas

Masterson's ultimate value will depend on the health of one Divine Deablo.  If Deablo's injury is not going to keep him out multiple weeks, well then perhaps you pass here, or if your league allows you to place Masterson on your taxi squad maybe you just add and stash there.  But Masterson has proven - in the past - that he can make plays even with another playmaker (namely Robert Spillane) next to him. There are lots of tackles and big plays to go around on this defense.  Masterson got 70% of the snaps last week with Deablo out and would be the main benefactor if Deablo's injury is persistent.

Dynasty Sleeper: LB Jaylon Carlies, Indianapolis

Check your league before making the call here.  Our snap counts page shows that Carlies is getting time at safety. However, he's listed as a linebacker in MyFantasyLeague and on many depth chart sites I checked.  We all know how much action Colt linebackers get, so if either E.J. Speed or Zaire Franklin were to go out with a serious injury, it could be the rookie Carlies, out of Missouri, that steps in.  He's seen a handful of snaps in every game the Colts have played thus far this season. Worth a look or perhaps even add/stash to taxi if you have the room.

Dynasty Sleeper: DL Kingsley Enagbare, Green Bay

Enagbare was on my watchlist a few times last season, and after an impressive Week 3 this season (4 total tackles, 1 for loss, forced fumble, and 1.5 sacks), I'm tempted to give him another spin.  Yes, Lukas Van Ness is the future for the Packers in terms of a regular pass-rusher, but Rashan Gary and Preston Smith are in the twilights of their careers.  Enagbare is actually getting similar snap numbers to Van Ness, and those numbers don't trail Gary and Smith's counts by much.  Worth a shot, seeing that this position is volatile and shallow.

Dynasty Sleeper: DL Anfernee Jennings, New England

Yup, another Pat.  Jennings has made appearances in this article before, and it's time to call him out once again.  While he's yet to record a sack or big play, he leads the Patriot defense in snaps for a defensive end and has 14 total tackles (two for loss) thus far this season.  If you want a high-floor defensive end that will rack up some tackles, Jennings looks to fit the bill.  He's got pedigree (Alabama product) and a good size/speed combo (he's only 6-2 but manages to operate on the edge just fine).

Dynasty Sleeper: DL Zach Sieler, Miami

Go look at this guy's stats from 2023.  9.5 sacks, a handful of pass breakups, forced and recovered fumbles, and 56 total tackles.  He got off to a slower start this season but busted out this past week with a couple of solos, a pick, and a sack.  If you're getting that kind of production from a tackle, take notice.  If you're in a league that breaks apart DE/DT, he's definitely roster-worthy.

Dynasty Sleeper: DB Bryan Cook, Kansas City

Cook's actually out-snapped Justin Reid, who is a high-level producer for the Chiefs' D.  But Cook has held his own this season, averaging 12.3 fantasy points per game, never dipping under double digits.  That's the kind of steady production you like to see in larger leagues where you start multiple defensive backs.  He's just 25 years old, so that's a nice ripe age, dynasty-wise.  Add where you can.

Dynasty Sleeper: DB Paulson Adebo, New Orleans

Even in 12-team IDP dynasty leagues where you don't break apart corners from safeties, I'm still surprised he's showing up on the free-agent list.  The guy has averaged almost 16 points per game and is a tackling AND pass-breakup machine.  He looks like a must-add in all formats, and I'd be looking to trade for him in leagues that break apart corner and safety.  He may be expensive in that format, but he's worth every penny.
