IDP streaming is essential for staying competitive in your leagues. Streaming involves analyzing weekly matchups and playing different players with the best potential outcomes each week. In this edition, we will be looking into the top IDP streaming IDL and Edge options. In Week 6, we hit on the likes of Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith Jr., and sleeper Mario Edwards Jr. Here are the top IDL and Edge options for Week 7.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Grady Jarrett, Atlanta Falcons
Matchup: Seattle Seahawks - Ranked 29th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Jarrett does not seem like the same player he was in 2022, where he had 60 total tackles and six sacks. His 2023 season ended after eight games, and he only produced 23 tackles and one-and-a-half sacks. Jarrett was off to a hot start in 2024 with three tackles and one-and-a-half sacks in Week 1 but has not entered the sack column since. Jarrett showed explosiveness last week against Carolina. He has a great chance to get back into the sack column in Week 7. The Falcons square off against the Seahawks, who have allowed 19 sacks during the season. That is bad enough for 4th most allowed in the NFL. With how poor the Seahawks' offensive line has been playing, Jarrett is a strong IDP streaming option for Week 7.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL B.J. Hill, Cincinnati Bengals
Matchup: Cleveland Browns - Ranked 20th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Hill missed Weeks 3 and 4 due to injury but has come back on fire. He has 12 tackles and three passes defended over his past two games. Hill is critical to their defensive success as the Bengals' top interior presence. He has yet to record a sack in 2024 but has averaged four-and-a-half sacks over the previous three seasons.
Hill has a great chance to add to the sack column in Week 7. The Bengals play the sieve-like offensive line of the Cleveland Browns. They have been horrendous. The Browns offensive line has allowed 31 sacks on the season, eight more than the second most allowed in the NFL. If you are IDP streaming your IDL and Edge positions, you should always look at who is matched up against the Browns.
