Welcome to the dynasty trading post, where optimizing strategy, roster construction, format, and player value oscillations are examined weekly with examples and completed dynasty trades.
This week, we'll focus on the trade market for Jonathon Brooks and Chuba Hubbard.
All trades are Superflex unless stated otherwise
RB Jonathon Brooks, Carolina
Jonathon Brooks' Week 14 repeat ACL tear was such a disappointment. Brooks had his best glimpses into his potential yet in Week 13, with multiple flashes of his athleticism, elusiveness, and what is possible in the future. The next week, Week 14, Brooks tears the same ACL he just spent a year rehabbing to return to the field. This brings into question 2025 entirely for the Round 2 rookie who has now burned half of his rookie contract out of the NFL gate. Combined with Chuba Hubbard's new contract, Brooks is already at a career crossroads both on the NFL side and the dynasty lens. Considering the time value of a dynasty roster spot and Hubbard's presence, it is understandable to see contending teams moving on from Brooks for production. Here are a few example trades to highlight contending sell opportunities and non-contending buy opportunities:
Contending Sells
- Brooks, Brandon Aiyuk for Tee Higgins
- Brooks for Sam Darnold
- Brooks, 2nd for David Montgomery
Non-Contending Buys
- Brooks for Nick Chubb
- Brooks for Gus Edwards, 3rd
- Brooks, CeeDee Lamb for Nico Collins, DeAndre Hopkins
- Brooks for 2nd, 3rd

RB Chuba Hubbard, Carolina
Chuba Hubbard is a significant dynasty winner with the Jonathon Brooks injury. The contract allegiance for 2025 was a nice boost, but Brooks was still in line to surge to a committee (or greater) role by Week 1 of next season without this new ACL injury. Hubbard now has a cleared-out depth chart for the rest of the season to expect a workhorse role in the fantasy playoffs, plus the likely lead role in 2025. For a mid-career Day 3-pedigreed running back, this is about as much allegiance and runway as we can reasonably expect in a best-case scenario. For teams out of the playoffs, be aggressive in the sell asking price, as Hubbard has plenty of upside for 2025. If contending, look to snipe, Hubbard, as a buy, as plenty of non-contenders will be open to selling mid-career running-back production like Hubbard for a discount, even with the latest news.
Buying Opportunities for Contenders
- Hubbard for Tank Dell
- Hubbard for Keon Coleman, 3rd
- Hubbard for Darnell Mooney, Hunter Henry, 3rd
- Hubbard for 2nd, 4th
Selling Opportunities for Non-Contenders
- Hubbard, 3rd for Dalton Kincaid, 2nd (1.5 PPR TE)
- Hubbard for 1st (1.75 PPR TE)
- Hubbard for Christian McCaffrey, 2nd
- Hubbard, Amari Cooper for 1st, 2nd
- Hubbard, 3rd for Chris Olave
