Fantasy Football Impact
Robinson originally came to the Rams on a one-year deal last June after brief stints with the Ravens and Raiders and a longer run with the Chiefs. He'll return after emerging as a legitimate contributor down the stretch run in the 2023 season. Overall, in his lone season with the club, Robinson appeared in 17 games (including the postseason loss to Detroit), starting four, and made 29 catches on 42 targets for 415 yards and four touchdowns. While those aren't earth-shattering totals, Robinson's first catch of the season didn't come until Week 9 against the Packers, and he didn't establish himself as a real factor until Week 13 vs. Cleveland. But in the six games he played from the Browns matchup until the playoff loss, Robinson pulled in 24 catches for 363 yards and all four touchdowns. While that role won't make him a draft-worthy commodity heading into the 2024 season, that high-end production to close the season puts him on the map as a viable last-round flier in best ball drafts and an outlier with proven scoring equity in daily fantasy tournament play.
The Fantasy Football Fallout
After becoming a significant part of the offensive attack in the second half of the season, losing Robinson could have impacted the Rams this offseason. However, with Robinson back in the fold for 2024, the Rams will again have solid depth at the position behind rising star Puka Nacua and veteran Cooper Kupp. While Nacua and Kupp have locked in roles and targets, Robinson getting off to a faster start could be a limiting factor for Tutu Atwell, who drew 69 targets over 16 regular-season games. But over the five-game stretch (Week 13 through Week 17) that mattered most to fantasy managers, Atwell had one catch, far short of Robinson's 21 catches over that same span. The diminutive speedster is currently going as WR107 in early Underdog best ball drafts, compared to Robinson's WR99 ADP. That said, in securing Robinson as WR3, the Rams have signaled they will not be making a significant addition to affect Nacua and Kupp, something that will be especially comforting to Dynasty investors.

Overview
Demarcus Robinson's return to the Rams comes after a strong finish that included a five-week stretch (Weeks 13-17) with 21 catches, 319 yards, and four TD catches. Is that enough to make him a desirable fantasy prospect? With Nacua and Kupp likely dominating the targets again this fall, Robinson's WR99 average draft position in early Underdog best ball drafts feels right. But the veteran wideout's role is worth watching as the season draws nearer with the Rams lining up in three-receiver sets at one of the highest rates in the NFL.
