T.J. Hockenson (TE-MIN) - Hockenson could be back this week and certainly will be back by November. Beat writers insisted all summer that Hockenson would be a big part of the offense once he returned, Kevin O’Connell appeared to be antsy to get him back in August, and the Vikings offense ended up being better than anyone expected with Sam Darnold at the helm. The bar for top tight end production is lower than ever, which could make Hockenson more valuable than ever, even if he’s not quite 100%. The Vikings have been erring on the side of being conservative with his return, and unlike a running back or wide receiver, Hockenson doesn’t have to use a lot of lateral agility to do his job well. He should be more efficient than ever against stressed-out defenses.
DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley (WR-TEN) - The quarterback situation in Tennessee should come to a head soon with the offense bottoming out in the loss to the Colts last week. If Will Levis doesn’t improve, expect to see Mason Rudolph take over. The same Mason Rudolph that revived the Steelers pass offense and fantasy value of George Pickens late last season. This isn’t to say that Rudolph is a true savior, but sometimes quarterback play can be so bad that any competent quarterback is a vast improvement. Rudolph may qualify for the competent label, especially if Levis' uneven play has concealed some of the value in the new Brian Callahan playbook with a Bill Callahan offensive line. Both Hopkins and Ridley are cheap buys in dynasty leagues, and the Titans finish the season with a soft schedule against the pass, including a WAS-JAX-CIN-IND-JAX stretch from Weeks 13-17 with the prospect of no cold weather games.
